I don't get the hate for Goodell. He is paid by the owners and is doing what the owners want him to do. He has to protect the owners from lawsuits in the future. He has to protect the players from injuries that can be prevented. He has to grow the game. He has to deal with what the previous commissioner pushed aside. He has to do all these things while keeping the public happy with the results.

There are unions for the refs and the players, so he can't just change things on his own, even if it would be good for the game. He knows all about the problems with the officiating, but he can't get rid of the bad ones without backing of the union. He would probably love to get rid of the 70 year old refs and bring in younger, more athletic guys, but again, the union would not allow it.

It's silly to blame him for all the perceived problems with the NFL when, in fact, he is doing his job and doing it quite well.

It's a lazy argument to blame Goodell for all that ails the NFL.

Back on topic... this sucks. Arian Foster is one of the dudes in the league that I really respect.
