Always amazes me that when the Defense carries the offense there is no debate what so ever, even if the Offense does just enough to win. However when its the reverse and the offense carries the defense, nope always a reason why it cant be the offense.

The fact is the offense carried the day.

I'm one of those who often lambastes the Offense for not controlling the ball more so the D gets some rest. Sometimes just a couple of first downs can significally affect the ToP stats.

The game turned into a shootout. Sometimes that just happens. I'm glad the O was able to put up enough points to win, with a boost of 10 pts off of turnovers, of course.

This team can match up with any team in the league.

"You wanna have a shootout?" "we can do that."

"You wanna play a tight defensive game?" "We can do that too."

Its nice to be able to play differing styles when the situation calls for it.

While I agree, I still think we gotta get at least some assemblage of a run game to make a deep playoff run.

Weather's about to turn nasty, it's only going to get harder and harder to throw. So IMO can't just be one dimensional.

I'm fine with switching up the scheme and passing to open up the run, but gotta find some sort of run game.

The biggest problem with the running game as non-existent as it is imo is the problems it's causing in the red-zone. Look at the first and goals from inside the 5 where they struggle to score vs teams who can line up and run the ball. Heck I would even settle for league average in that situation. Even in those situation where we just need a yard or two, plays are getting blown up in the backfield

I wouldn't exactly say that the O carried the D. How many points came as a result of a takeaway?

...they had one pick six. Defense gave up 38 points.

5 sacks, 3 INTs....including the pick 6 and another that lead to a FG
