Wow my camera sucks

Anyway this is a test piece I made today without finetuning settings or anything. As you can see, the laser cutter removes the paint very precise (the thin white lines around the edges are the side of the top layer of paper, so done on Plexiglas/ plastic this should not be an issue). The brown parts are how the paper is burnt from the rasterization, I think if the material was black plastic that these parts would look black or at worst sliiiightly brownish.
I have started to draw up the lines for a prototype, i realized that it will take a while due to the patch being so damn detailed (which is why we are so in love with it in the first place

). Also keep in mind that it is essentially very advanced 2d and not a 3d printer, so the ridges will just be cuts and not be fine sculpted, but I very much expect the overall impression to be way better than any patch I have seen available.
