I was at tonights game. Truly sickening seeing our home field advantage being taken away from opposing teams fans. Seahawks need to figure it out somehow. And some of our current season ticket holders are single handedly the problem. I understand that you can't make every game but it's gotten to the point where selling tickets to make a profit is more important to some than the team. Those fans in my opinion should lose their seats.

There were times it felt like an away game in the stadium tonight. Extremely frustrating. Something needs to be done.

There have ALWAYS been lots of Packers fans at games when they play here (at least for the last 20 years I've had Seahawks tickets). They travel well, have a nationwide fan base, and lots of transplants live here. The problem is, the team played terribly from go, so they felt really chesty about chanting their cute monosyllabic chant early and often. If the team plays better, they'll shut up right quick.

It's not just tonights game. It is a recurring problem. Denver, San Francisco and Buffalo games were the exact same. And I've been to every game the packers have been in town since Holmgren came to Seattle. It has not ever been this bad.

In this economy, in this high cost of living state, I can't get mad at someone for making money off tickets. My brother was a season ticket holder for 20 years and stopped going last year because of costs. He spent so much money over those 20 years if he wanted to recoup some of it back during tough times I wouldn't blame him.

Almost half and half in some sections and mine was among them , it really , really sucked
It'll probably never be like the old days before we were any good cuz when we got good the fans in attendance were diehards and unless we have a few losing decades we won't get rid of them and the cost of tix now make it so much different that'll probably never be the case no matter what

Gotta play better at home to keep the fans engaged. Last several seasons have been a dumpster fire at home.

And STH have always sold tickets. It’s the casual Hawk fans that are letting visitor fans in. On NFL ticket exchange, you can’t direct to home team fans only. If away team fans are willing to pay up, they get the ticket.

But to those that say this is the worst it’s been, I heartily disagree. 90’s we’re far worse. Team couldn’t sell out and away fans were everywhere.

This is both true and sad as well. Are fans who only show up for a winner truly fans? Isn’t there something to having gone through the tough years that makes the good years that much better?
💯. Some folks just don't get it.

The Packers do travel well, perhaps the best in the league. The Bills travel well, too. And then there's some teams, like the Raiders, Cowboys, and Steelers, that have a nationwide fan base. Plus, unlike some place like Kansas City, Cleveland, or Pittsburgh, Seattle is a destination city even during the winter.

The root cause of all of this is the availability of tickets. It used to be that the Hawks, and other NFL franchises, would leave just 5% or less of their game tickets available for at large purchases, the balance comprised of season tickets. If you bought season tickets, you got hard copy tickets that had to be handed over in person or snail mailed to a recipient if you wanted to give or sell them to someone else. The result was that the only way you could acquire a ticket to a game was to know someone who had season tickets and make arrangements to transfer the tickets at least several days before the game. Home games were dominated by home team fans, and you very seldom saw an opposing team's fan in the crowd.

Enter the secondary ticket vendors, ie Ticketmaster, Stub Hub, et al, and the advent of electronic tickets that can be transferred instantly. Some people will buy season tickets and sell every one of them, many times at a profit, on the secondary market just so they can maintain the rights to them in case they want to go to a game, if they happen to make the playoffs, etc. It's a problem that afflicts all teams, some more than others. I've gone to road games in Arizona where the crowd is at least 50% Hawks fans.

The only way to fix this is for the team to start winning again, get the mojo back with their fans.

So? No excuse in my opinion.
That may be your opinion but the apparently rest of those in Seattle and surrounding areas don't seem to feel that way. Win games at home and people will start to show up again. They have a losing record at home. Not many people are going to waste their money on watching a team lose on their home field. I don't blame them. They can fan or not however they want.

And you know that how? You've talked to all the seahawk fans? You guys had a conference call and voted to sh*t on your team?

You don't like my opinion, cool, but don't sit here and tell me I'm the only one who feels that way. Maybe you should read some comments on here a little closer.

And you're absolutely right, folks have the right to be spoiled and entitled amd quit on their team. I agree 💯. Just like i have the right to call BS.
