The schedule disparity between Seattle and San Fran really highlights the need to win every game. Somehow, the defending NFC champion's sked is significantly easier than a lowly wildcard representative (weird how that happened, eh?) and so the Hawks really need to eke out a couple more of these 10 a.m. starts.
When the schedule came out, I resigned myself to a 1-4 record in the 10 a.m.'s (which puts tremendous pressure on the home games and the mighty 12) but now I'm thinking 3-2 is a real possibility. If some of the other squads step up vs. the 49ers, that could work out real nice for Seattle.
First of all, do you think the schedule was intentionally made harder for Seattle?
Secondly, it's debatable if it is harder at all. 10 AM starts have been harder for the hawks not the Niners.
You get the Saints at home and falcons on the road which is better than 49ers getting falcons at home, saints on the road.
Houston you have it worse. But they are not infallible at home. Look at what Aaron Rodgers did to them last year at Reliant, and compare what he did at century link, both 8:30 games.
Unless the saints can pull it out probably another 8-0 at home this year.
If the Seahawks really are the best team in the nfl they should clinch division no excuses. I can't ever recall the 49ers ever having an 8-0 home record except maybe 1984.
