I think you guys are too damned sensitive. Nut up.

Soccer fans act all strong but they sing and hold hands while the players flop around on the field.

I do like the world cup though, probably because when its nation vs nation it feels like the Olympics.

Sorry, they "hold hands"? I literally have never seen that.

The thing about all soccer crowds is that you can't generalise (see what I did?).

Soccer is probably played in every country on the planet - even North Korea has a national team. So there are pretty big differences in what the crowds do from country to country.

And don't knock singing. It can genuinely give you goosebumps to hear a big crowd singing in unison. It's not done with the purpose of making as much volume as possible, but it can be intimidating.

I reckon that most Seahawks fans would love it if 70000 fans were singing witty, derogatory songs about Colin Kaepernick to Colin Kaepernick while he's out there on the field.

The thing that turns this thread sour is the generalization of Europe and soccer fans, not all Euro's are soccer fans, and not all soccer fans are the same. It's not cool to bash an entire group of people (including your own fanbase) just because of where they live. I understand that it wasn't the intent of the OP, but it is what it has come to in this thread.

And that is cause to insult everyone from Europe?

Don't tar us all with the some brush lads, some of us Euro types are well aware that soccer is lame and nfl is the only true sport (I went to Ireland international soccer games for ten years, believe me, I know).
From the near beginning, this thread has a lot more soccer bashing than it does with anything relating to the Hawks. Not that you can't have an opinion on soccer, but it's not really relevant to the thread.

Errr, wow.. The level of insults to us is quite astounding in this thread.
Thanks guys, glad you are all happy to tear into your own fanbase as well...
Pathetic, at least take it to the Shack if you want to make insults based on the culture of other people
I agree with this guy.
