Eskridge vs Humphrey- JS issue

I’ve not seen anything from Eskridge to make me think he’s going to be a mainstay in the team..Humphrey, who was on the board when we chose Eskridge, on the other hand could’ve been our starting center for several years. JS has made several poor decisions in free agency and in the draft for the last few years. How many more bad years do we give him?

Dee altered his route on 2-3 plays tonight that were easy big plays for Lockett too. Taking him over Creed will always be a horrible decision and Dee might figure it out but he’s an older rookie who needed to step up tonight and didn’t.

Humphrey has been having an historically great year for a rookie center too.

I'm not going to lie and pretend I was calling for him when the pick came up, but I remember him being a popular name on here in the pre-draft process.

Bad pick, worse still a stupid pick when the team needed a C who could actually block.

Well since Pete has final say on all Personnel decisions, what makes you so sure it was JS's pick and not Pete's? I don't think any of us here really know who's been pulling the strings on draft day.

And yes I agree with you, it was a ridiculously poor decision to select Eskridge when we really needed a center and Humphrey was there for the taking.

I'd like to see them invest in tackle prior to center. I think it's the higher priority.

Still defending Pocic I see. Sure tackle is a higher priority, but lets not pretend that Center hasent been an issue for years now. Tackle is a higher priority as a center was a higher priority than a luxury, unneeded #3 WR that hasent worked out at all. Just have confidence in our front office to do the wrong thing most of the time and you wont end up as disappointed.

At least Creed would have contributed during the season, by keeping Russ upright more so than Pocic ever could and would have been a mainstay for years to come on the line. Eskridge had a chance to shine last night when the team needed him to and he failed miserably. Taking him before Creed was a travesty.

Yep. I noticed this too. Swain was wide open. Gotta throw that hero ball though.
