What a weird season.

Win over Newcastle and it's truly on....

Oh no doubt. A convincing win over Newcastle tomorrow and we're bang in the title race. United have forgotten how to score, City can't string two wins together, Arsenal are inconsistent, and Leicester are one or two injuries away from mid-table obscurity. We've a run of six winnable game over this busy period, anything less than 15 points from those is a disappointment.

well... just not a season to get your hopes up... for anyone..

except maybe Leicester fans

Poor all round from Liverpool today. No-one played well. It's become painfully clear that Benteke does not fit into this team at all.

Ruined my morning...

Klopp learned a lesson about his squad today.. he needs the high energy players to start the match. Bring Benteke on later.. like Chelsea.

A midfield of Allen, Lucas and Milner will always struggle to match the pace of a high pressing team (even if it was meant to be "softer" today). Lallana and Studge should have started.

Agreed... and Ibe was especially frustrating given how often he was able to carry the ball into the attacking 3rd, only to give it away without much help from the defense.

Moreno's goal should have stood as well

Sturridge out again...

I'm hoping Klopp is willing to dip into the transfer market in January. I like Origi, not sold that Benteke is a viable starter for the club. Good off the bench when a change in philosophy is needed.

Could use 1-2 more mids as well.. but going in on some viable starters at CM and striker has to be a priority, and I'm hoping in January.

Subotic (sorry, not Hummels) to Liverpool, as a replacement to Kolo, in the summer seems to be gaining steam. Not sure what he's got left. not playing for Dortmund at the moment. Some Neves kid from Porto is also supposedly on Klopps wishlist. Maybe Gundogan as well?

I guess the question will be whether they want to make a real go at top 4 by using the Jan window or sit with what they have, let Klopp evaluate his players before the Summer and maybe get top 4 through attrition.

Top 4 is certainly there for the taking...

It's great watching the Premier League when you don't live in England, eh. I just paid $99 NZD for every game, live or archived, for the rest of the season. Fantastic! I can start watching Spurs again.

On the downside, the Seahawks have moved from 6pm/930 pm on Sunday evening, which was pretty much perfect to 7am/1030am on Monday morning. I'll be having the steer clear of the Internet all day Mondays I guess.

Do you get NBC Live?

Spurs look a genuine threat for top 4 this year. Not winning games as much as maybe they should, but not dropping points either.

We get Premier League Pass which is pretty much the same as the NFL Gamepass we get outside the US: an Internet subscription service with all games available to stream live or on demand. I've found it really hard to watch premier league games on a saturday/Sunday afternoon in the UK as I've been relying on being in a pub or live streams and we're usually pretty busy with other stuff on the weekend so being able to watch on demand early on a sunday morning is fantastic. No more hooky streams!

The situation at spurs is good. Pochettino is doing what he did at Southampton and some of the guys he's bringing through are proper quality. It's a young bunch too, with some acadamy products doing well which is really good to see.

I pay the equivalent of $150 a month for Sky Sports in the UK so I can watch Premier League - it's not been value for money these last two years as a United supporter!

At least I get 5 NFL games each week on the same package

Bad week for United fans. So now it looks like Arsenal will top the table after they had such a shite week a few weeks ago. This has been the least predictable, most unstable season I can remember so far.

Except for the Arsenal part... Their last three weeks have been so very Arsenal... Struggle, contemplate end of Wenger, injuries, scrape a result, salvage Final 16 with world class performance, surge to top of table before Christmas...

Set a watch by it if you wanted

Weird that we may stop rooting Against Leicester soon

An absolute shambles of defending set pieces is also pretty typical....

I don't know what to say about Chelsea. They're legit in a relegation battle.

Honestly.. I watched yesterday as I hadn't seen much of Leicester and was fully expecting it to see a Chelsea reborn..

on the contrary. Leicester play direct, confident football and are decently organized in the back. Chelsea look devoid of ideas. The star players seem to lack direction or cooperation and end up losing the ball easily. I don't see anything that resembles implementation of a plan. Its jarring...

"One possibility is that I did an amazing job last season and brought the players to a level that is not their level and now they can't maintain it,"

I guess we will see...

Jose out. To be replaced by Juandre Ramos.... I'm not sure he helps anything to be honest

Ramos is a stop-gap. They'll go hard after Pep, who's said he'll leave Bayern at season's end.

I see Pep at City, if he comes to the PL. Team is already more geared for what he wants to do on the field. Chelsea is not. I also don't know if Pep wants to spend even one season out of the CL. I could see someone like Simeone, however.

I wonder if Ramos can actually do enough to even keep Chelsea out of the bottom 15. He's had his troubles as well.

Jose has gone.

Unless Pep comes in the Summer, I reckon in two year's time they will look back and realise they made a mistake.
