Encouraging Loss

No such thing as a good loss, but this was an encouraging one. Season is far from over. No doubt in my mind we would have won if RW stayed in. DK played great. D played an awesome first half. There is stuff to build on here. Don't let the doomers get you down guys. This was one of the best teams in the NFL and the Hawks played with 'em to the final drive. This team will stay competitive. We don't HAVE to win the division. Many teams have won the SB from the wildcard, including the Bucs last year. It's a long season that's a battle and not a war. If this team hangs around and grabs a WC, they have the talent to win a SB

Delusion at it's finest. The defense gave up almost 500 yards. Seems like every game, except the Vikings, they do good for a quarter or half, then just disintegrate. Nothing positive about that

Ok now you've gone too far.

We only stayed in this game because of Wilson's absence. Geno Smith moved the offense up and down the field.

There was nothing encouraging about this loss other than we know Russell struggles to see the middle of the field and can actually get the ball to DK. Notice the blocking was much better with Geno?

This post is an example of why the Seahawks won't get better for a long, long time. There are so many fans like this that will give undying tribal support.

These fans = $$$ = Ownership happy

The OP almost sounds like what Pete would say.

Defense gave up over 450 yards.

Super encouraging for opposing offensive coordinators.

Notice how we magically moved the ball downfield after Russell left?
And Russell's TD pass was outside the hashmarks and wasn't an intermediate pass, but whatever makes you Wilson apologists feel better

Not to mention that the highest paid safety in the league was involved in the three most catastrophic defensive plays of the game

Nothing to be encouraged about. This second-half fold up by the D is the trend now and will continue all season. We’ll be lucky to win five more games.

Jamal Adams needs to go. Too bad we're stuck with him. Ryan Neal is a much better fit for this team

Being on the east coast (usually, recently bought a house in Camas), I don’t get to see the Hawks much, but did see tonight’s game on a Southwest flight. We were up against a very capable QB, but our defense does not seem to show up when it counts. When the game was on the line, the Rams scored a TD. I still think we make the playoffs, but if our defense does not get better, it could be one and done.

If that questionable hold doesn't get called at the end of the half, we probably win

No moral victories in the NFL. Anyone can win/lose any game.
