Bet you dollars to donuts he is getting a kick out of watching HIS guy add a new chapter to jersey no 3, a number worn by a player he tried to move on from for a few years before he actually left.

I think the Pro Shop is missing a trick here. They could sell the Emmanwori nameplate on its own that you could iron on or stitch to your old Wilson jersey. So for folks who don’t have the cash to stump up for a new jersey for ‘25 they can get a bargain instead :D

That would be great.

Love the player and look forward to seeing him on the field for the rest of the season. It has to be a full circle moment for JS. He was a J Adams fan and steadfast defender of the trade that brought him here. He no doubt tired of all the talk of how horrible a move it was. In hindsight it was a mistake, but in the moment, Jamal embodied the aggression and attitude JS went on record saying he felt the Seahawks lost in the years after the LOB left. Now, he has his aggressive, 'swiss army knife' Safety, and he let him pull on No 3 - not that he directly approves jersey number selections, but he certainly could have chosen to set Russ's number aside. Bet you dollars to donuts he is getting a kick out of watching HIS guy add a new chapter to jersey no 3, a number worn by a player he tried to move on from for a few years before he actually left.

Hopefully JS learned roster building lessons over the past few years. Don't let the roster grow decrepit again. Keep your draft capital, make smart picks, and stay young.

Biggest lesson is that if you see value on the board you pull the trigger and you do not trade down. Emmanwori is a textbook example of not overthinking it as many viewed him as a first rounder.

We had the draft capital to go up and get him. We've been keeping our picks and adding 'dudes' the past few years (like Baltimore had historically done). Contrast that with the 2021 draft when our roster had grown completely decrepit: 2nd round: Eskridge; 4th round Tre Brown 6th round Forsythe. It was depressing, particularly since the Rams and 49ers were ascending into their SB appearances at the time.

That 2021 draft was about raw talent and to coach them up but did the team have the luxury of doing that with an aging roster? Emmanwori isn't a finished prospect which is why he did not go in the first round. But his talent is so, so good that he could have been a borderline first rounder. There were some in the draft community saying he was a raw prospect but that would be ignoring his game film. I think that is a result of looking at his raw talent which was very good but it was overshadowing the work he did on the field. No wonder he is able to do some work even as a rookie.

This kid is impressive. From my seat I have a very good view of plays developing. He is DAMN good. And just getting started. Incredible instincts.
