Talk me off the ledge. Is Elijah Arroyo getting better? Seems a few interceptions, including today’s, were when targeting the rookie. I admit I do not rewatch his routes and ultimately his potential growth. How do you feel about his season so far?

I think we knew he had a bit of a learning curve.

I remain bullish on Arroyo, but I'm still surprised we weren't in on Harold Fannin.

Both those throws were on the QB a TE can only run his route it's up to the QB to throw the ball to him, and both were poor decisions by the QB..

This game, yeah but the last one was on Arroyo. I’d love to see stats on his targets.

I'd rather have Tate Rateledge than Arroyo, but Fannin is fun to watch. He is so hard to tackle. His toughness stands out.

Arroyo gives me Noah Fant underachiever vibes. But he certainly has a better catch radius. I'd love to be wrong.

Receivers can run good routes and they can run bad routes, they risk having the qb throwing an interception. Several of the passes that were intercepted by Sam during the LA gAME were a result of bad routes.

It's still up to the QB to throw the ball... It's basically like driving, I can assume the other driver is going to turn with their blinker on the last 5 miles, but am I going to pass them?.. QB decisions!..

If the receiver has his blinkers on.. he better turn, cause that's what the QB is expecting... they practice that and at that professional level they need to follow the rules. I maybe wrong, never the less, there are good drivers and there are bad drivers...don't be a bad driver :)

1st year driver vs. 7th year driver, Who's more to blame?

Talk you off the ledge? Sure. Arroyo is a pro athlete whose career failures and successes you have no influence over. So there’s absolutely zero reason to link your mental state with how the player performs on the field.

Went down with a knee injury today . Mike said they need to do the testing on it to assess the injury. Hope it’s not a season ended for him.

I’m not that serious about it. But someone needs to get in his ear about attacking the football and running better routes.

Yup. As someone mentioned first in the thread, he's a rookie. There's a lot that comes from being a rookie. Moving to a new place, becoming a real professional at a young age, getting your own place to live, dealing with all the hanger-ons, working with agents and promotional stuff, dealing with your finances, learning to have fun and be responsible at the same time, etc...

This is before you even get into things like everyone around you is a lot better than in college, the fierceness of the competition, a playbook that is beyond what you're used to, the scrutiny of your play/performance by the media, the fact that you have to work a lot harder at your craft than before, etc, etc..

If a rookie comes in and hits the ground running from the start, that's exceptional. For some, it just takes time to adjust. A lot of life is being thrown at these guys. And fast. We sometimes forget this fact.

On the pick, I think when Sam analyzes the tape, he'll rethink what he saw and his choice to even throw the ball, and he'll certainly regret throwing it high and extra mustard instead of to Arroyo's body.
Are Arroyo's hands a little suspect? Or is it 100% on Sam?
It seems like AJ Barner cleanly catches everyball thrown to him.

Sam could’ve actually ran for the first down on that pick. Arroyo was covered like glue it was an ill advised pass in his ear hole. I know Sam wishes he could’ve have that one back but he was off a little in the first half even overshooting a wide open JSN once in the first half but settled down after halftime and started dotting up the Falcons D. We packed their fudge when in reality our intentions were to simply walk away with a dub unscathed and injury free.
