One of the digs on Sam Darnold, before coming to the Seahawks, was that he needed to be surrounded by an elite cast to find success.

What we saw last night should put that argument to rest. Good quarterbacks, elevate the players around them leaving you scratching your head wondering who was that?

We have seen what has happened to the All-Star cast in Minnesota with the loss of Darnold.

I think we can safely put this one to bed, and I look forward to putting the “fails in big games” criticism to rest as well, when Darnold gets his first playoff win.

The narrative that he sucks in the playoffs has a sample size of 1 and was created in a game where his oline was absolutely atrocious

And yet he still was 25-40 for 250

Viking fans cope is all that is

The Vikings were betting on JJ McCarthy when they let Sam walk... and based on a very limited sample size, it looks like their trust in McCarthy is warranted.

We just fell into a great situation with Geno wanting out... and Sam being available to sign anywhere he wanted.

Sam's is now our franchise QB... on that, I believe we can all agree.

yet some fans here seem to want to treat the Lions game like it was a playoff game and make it sound like he's 0-2.

That's not how it works.

That's not how any of this works.

Oh yeah. McCarthy was sooo impressive with his 56% completion rate and 143 yards passing and 82.6 rating. :sneaky:

That's pretty Good....for a backup-level QB.

The outrage from his teammates and the fans was so bad they faked an injury to protect him for a bit

Cmon now :ROFLMAO:
