Couldn't workout at Brown's, could he? But still a short run to Hue Jackson's office.

The man's everywhere but Seattle. We'll see how long he can hold out I guess. I'd be shocked if it's more than 4 games. I'm sure the Seahawks are moving on as if he won't be here at all.

If the team waives his fines after this show it will be disapointing to me. The contract stipulates what he can be fined and it should be followed. This will set an example that the team honors its contracts as written.

I was just thinking about the fine's aspect myself. I guess if it was me i'd start fining him after the first preseason game if he didn't report that following Monday i'd start fining him if they can . I'm unclear when they can even start fining him. I'm not sure what the Seahawks policy is on this or if it's a case by case decision.

Normally a team only waives fines if an extension is agreed to or some amicable resolution is reached.

Which neither of these two things seems likely, so it'll be interesting to see what happens.

No need to guess or speculate. My dawg Earl answered you question directly; "As long as God's with me I will never fold". since thy Lord is omnipresent, Earl will never report to camp. He will only fold when he is not in the company of God.

Earl has made enough to date to offset any fines imposed. He can holdout this season and next few seasons if he wanted to.

I believe it's a matter of principle now. He has seen Lynch, Kam, etc do this before him and they got extensions. It may not be similar to what he is doing but the results he wants is practically the same. He probably could do better just staying away from social media for awhile.

Aaron Donald and Khalil Mack are doing the same for their respective teams (in terms of holding out and not playing until they get a new one).

A man honors his contract, ET is a spoiled child. I hope he forced to retire and never takes another snap anywhere.
If he fails to honor his contract and no one else wants him, he will have to hang em up.
Hang tough FO. I'm sure they will, to the FO, Earl is nothing more than a piece of paper in their IN Box,. They made their offer which was refused, so they are off to run the business at hand and Earl can stew in his own juices.

Yep Earl can sit out the year congrats well done. I'm sure that will help him with his next contract.

Yes he could sit out the whole year. He would then still owe Seattle a yr of service under his contract and he can sit out again. He would never make another cent from the hawks yet they would retain his rights. He has made a ton of money yes, hes also presenty proving nothing means more to him than money.

Pete and John with blessing from Paul did make Earl the highest paid FS. That didn't mean nothing, didn't stop him running to pimp to the Girls, to Mark Davis, and now in Cleveland .... pimping again. He posted recently that God is with him on the holding out. SO, he and thy Lord want more money. May be Earl is a building a cathedral in Dallas or something?

Got to luv the guy, Earl is my dawg.

Hmmm...Earl must have saw this thread...posted the religious bit because he knows PWR doesnt go well here anymore...hoping it would get locked. He is trying to silence his critics. We will see what God says when he starts missing the pay cheques...

I can almost guarantee you ee are not going to get a comp pick for him next year as we will be active in Free Agency.
I disagree. I don’t think they will be active in FA. They will want to build this version of the Hawks thru the draft mainly and small trades to supplement it, thus why they view that hanging on to ET for the year and taking a 3rd round comp is worth it to them.

This is the last in line of Petes Super Stars from his first run not counting Wilson, they don't want the next 5 years to be about players getting paid and holdouts, I think with the new faces in camp and the rebuild they almost have to set a tone and draw a line in the sand representing how future situations will be handled.
