Honestly, I was extremely disappointed yesterday, but I still believe we are one of if not the best team in the NFL right now. 12-3 is awfully damn good and the Cardinals came to play. We are better than we were yesterday, and I believe it will be proven that yesterday's game will go down as the worst day of the year for our offense. Every team has to have that game they should have won but lost, this was ours. I still have a lot of faith in this team, even after our performance yesterday

A cornered and pissed off animal is the worst to face in the wild. I hope we lay the whoopin on the Rams this week.

We need to get Lynch going or we will continue to struggle on offense. How Lynch goes, so we go.

I'm still pretty bummed out today. Didn't see that one coming AT ALL.

going in we knew the Cards were gonna bring it, and they arent what last years team was. they are a division winning team, in any other division. im more bummed that we cant best the 05 record, but 13-3 is nothing to scoff at. can the playoffs get here already?

Disappointed, but hopeful. This team is good and will prove it in the next 6 weeks.

He and the defense shouldn't be worried, offense is a different story

They should be worried. The last two losses they haven't been able to hold the lead in the 4th quarter. I know the offense sucked both of those games, but they did score in the 4th in both games to give us the lead.

I agree with you. We have a good team. Here's the problem as I see it:

The Niners came to play. They had "more to play for" and showed it on the field.
The Giants didn't have a lot to play for, and it showed.
The Cardinals came to play. They had "more to play for" and it showed up on the field.

This time of year, everyone has something to play for. We're almost in the playoffs, where it's win or go home. Hell, we're at the last game where we can lock up HFA. When is the team going to show more motivation than everyone else ?

Now we're playing a Rams team that has nothing to play for except: pride. Fisher led teams never take a game off. It's a divisional rivalry and they are serious about it. Just like last year. This is also a team we've barely beaten the last 2 times and lost the other. Color me worried.

This has been my gripe as well: desperate teams are the only teams in the playoffs. Top ten defenses, teams "bringing everything" with "everything to play for," that's all you'll see in January, and apparently that's our weakness. A little urgency would be nice.

The only thing about this lost is that i feel like the "unbeatable" mystique is completely gone

14-1 over the last 15 at home is plenty mystiquey in my book.

Not worried at all! "Any given Sunday" anyone can be beat! Last Sunday was our worst day of this season, our guys are only human and we didn't take the Cards serious enough! They just wanted it more! This was an awakening at the right time for our guys! We are going to crush the Rams on Sunday...guaranteed! 35-0! Pete and Russ will be ready for the playoffs!

The Cardinals loss alone does not define them, but a late season loss in 3 consecutive Division Championship opportunities to the 49ers, Cardinals and finally Rams surely would. If that happens, this season lives on in infamy as an all-time late season collapse. Lets hope Earl and the boys don't let that happen.
