4 picks
  • Round 1: Pick 32 (Own)
  • Round 2: Pick 64 (Own)
  • Round 3: Pick 96 (Own)
  • Round 6: Pick 188 (via Cleveland Browns)
A bunch of opinions that it's a bad draft...but for us, it's lining up nicely. There's limited blue chip talent available in the 1st round, but better talent than normal picks 30-100.

Does JS trade back from 32 for more picks? Possibly...but if Jadarian Price is there, I think they grab him. I like the moves at RB they've made so far, but we're definitely missing the dynamic running abilities of Walker. Price doesn't have K9's twitch, but has elite vision and better contact balance. If Price is gone, the odds favor a trade down IMO.

CB's and Edge possibly available in Rd 2 & 3:

Edge:
Malachi Lawrence (UCF)
Zion Young (Missouri)
Gabe Jacas (Illinois)

Cornerback:
Davison Igbinosun (Ohio State)
Keith Abney II (Arizona State)
Brandon Cisse (South Carolina)

ILB is also deep this year. The could add someone to our current trio, but they'd probably sit for a year.

Damn I want the draft to get here.

Ive got a feeling we take Zion @32 and RB @64 (Price,Thomas,Washington) , DB @96 .
But i also wouldn't be surprised if we trade down at least 2X for more picks.

It sucks that they only have four picks but at least the first three are in rounds 1,2,3.

Fairly certain that JS will do some wheeling and dealing and garner an extra pick or two. It’s something he has always been good at.

We are five weeks from the draft today. What kind of toys are MM and JS getting for us this year? I absolutely love the draft! It’s the football Christmas of the offseason.

It’s gonna be awesome hearing, “the Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks are on the clock!”

Hoping we go CB, Edge, Guard, RB…in that order.
RB will definitely go earlier. Its definitely a need and JS has a history of grabbing them in 2nd . If they take with top 2 picks, thats your starter next 4 years. If not, its fingers crossed til 2027

There is talk of JSN getting traded (Sell high) for 2 first round picks. I don't see it happening for a few reasons but if it did, that's 2 starters from those picks and an extra $41-$45 million laying around.

Walker was $15 Million a year, so that's 3 Walker level (Pro bowl) players with that extra JSN money.

5 pro bowlers or 1 all pro?
(Yes, nothing is garenteed on both sides of that equation).

And again I don't see it happening but 5 pro bowl caliber players added to this team would lock in another Super Bowl.

But who is crazy enough to give up the best WR in the NFL?

With only 4 picks it would be out of character for Schneider to actually use the 1st rounder. We need more than 4 picks to try to replace players we've lost, and help keep our cap in good shape.

Fans hate to admit it, but trading one of the top players is sometimes a good move. Selling high is better than selling low, and with how quickly things can change (injury, age, etc) it really isn't as crazy as many fans think.
The thing is, we're trying to repeat as champions, and as much as I *love* the thought of an extra 2 first rounders and not needing to devote the GDP of a small island nation to just one WR, one in hand is worth two in the bush. Those 2 first round picks could easily be busts, and we'd be wondering what might have been if we kept him.

If the Hawks were merely competing for a wildcard spot I'd pull the trigger because it's damn near impossible to get better once you're paying those kinds of contracts, but we're at the top so we need to try to stay there.

Yeah, would not be surprising for him to trade it away for some 2/3 day action.

We've definitely got the flexibility to trade down thanks to minimizing our needs with moves like re-signing Rashid.

Where? I have no life and I haven't heard this.
If that was the case, I'd think it would be next year.. not this draft.. the same type of draft that produced..the one great Aaron Curry.

No mfkn way you trade JSN.

Man…ok. You got me. Going to go buy some crack…smoke some rocks…I’ll likely comprehend the blasphemy then.

Haven’t heard a single pod cast or sports radio guy talk about it. And trading for 1s this year, is a terrible idea.

Who is actually interested in trading for the 32 pick though? Yes JS might want to trade, but you need someone willing to trade with you.
