The Hawks have only three double digit losses since 2012. The next closest team is the Pats with six.

Pete isn’t perfect. It’s understandable people are upset about losing today. But please appreciate that what Pete and this team have achieved is not typical. If the Patriots hadn’t had the success they have, the Hawks would get talked about a lot more nationally for their unprecedented consistency. It’s special.

Enjoy it while it lasts.

The problem is that is more about Wilson and the players.

Those players wouldn’t be there without Pete and John. Those players were coached by Pete and his staff.

Those players also made mistakes today. Dickson punted too short and the coverage team made mistakes. Carson fumbled. Woods shaded a little too close to the center on the missed FG that gave NO another chance to kick it through. Guys didn’t wrap up and let NO’s RB get more yards.

It’s a team sport. Coaches have to coach well. Players have to execute as expected. Saying it’s all this guy’s or that guy’s daily or to give only one guy Credit is a spurious argument.

But make no mistake, things will be different when Pete eventually leaves.

I put far more on the coaches than the players today

I'm sorry but Russ threw for over 400 yards and ran for 50 more.

What are you talking about???

These garbage time stats are only encouraging delusion that this team is actually good.

My point was wh5 we have not had many double digit losses was because of Wilson.

The major villain today was the RAIN!! Russ has a hard time playing in the rain.

Hard time to the toon of 406 yards 64% complt, 2 tds 102 . QB rating, 51 yards rushing and 2 more tds. Yeah sorry this loss has nothing to do with Wilson. He was a bright spot for us.

Didn't we inflict one of those double digit losses on the Pats, in Boston, after a short week?

Didn't it rain on both teams ? Wilson had his second best day of his career I think .

Russ was off the entire 2nd half it seemed. Alot of balls were underthrown with the receiver going to the ground to make the catch. This loss was on the whole team on a day where it seemed like nothing was going right. Coaching mistakes and execution mistakes everywhere.

It's one game early in the year for a team that gets stronger as the season goes on. I'm not worried.

Hm. I agree he had a couple of bad throws, like all qbs but to say he was off all 2nd half would be wrong. He completed over 60% of his passes in and half. Again if PC does not play it safe and stupid in the first half the 2nd half plays out differently. So as I said I and anyone with unbiased eyes put very little to no blame me on Wilson for this loss. To me PC is the biggest issue and PC himself said so.

The double digit losses thing comes from a time, almost five years ago. If you check recent years, you will see a few blowouts per year. And EVERY playoff loss since the SB that was not a wildcard game has been a blowout.

I think we can shelve the idea that Carroll does not get blown out. He does. He does it less since we tend to start trying to run the clock out halfway through the 1st but it still happens.

What made yesterday rare was not getting blown out, but getting blown out at home by a team using a backup QB.

Along with success comes the occasional taste of failure. Yesterday was that taste and bitter it was. We've become so accustomed to seeing Russell's magic and having the impenetrable noise in our stadium, anything less has been considered unacceptable. I think we need games like this to make us and our team humble and take a step back to look at ourselves. We have the talent, we're young, but in need of some fine tuning for sure. I've not given up on this team yet and to judge a season by a game such as this last one with the Saints, hasn't broken us. It's how we come back that defines us and I know the Seahawks will turn it around. Pete and Russ can turn this ship around and point it in the right direction and sail away to the post season. I get it, people want someone to answer for a bad game such as yesterdays, but that's just human nature, being a fan, letting our Seahawks pride get the best of us. I still believe!! Thanks for listening to my ramble. Hawknight...out

Great, when we miss the playoffs or get blown out in an away playoff game we can petition the NFL that it isn't fair because most of the losses were single digit.

With that said we don’t have an elite Defense anymore so these double digit losses will show up more .
Combine that with years of the broken play panic offense that has not changed one bit not a good sign
