Does Thomas make the calls on defense?

I have heard this before now I am hearing it again. Michael Strahan on fox said Thomas makes the calls and adjustments on defense, called him the qb of the def. I thought Wagner actually called the plays, while Chancellor helps them get into position on the back end. I swear during the Kam holdout Thomas said he doesn't like to think about that stuff and said he relies on Kam for that.

Are these talking heads just talking out their asses, or is there something I'm missing?

Is this a traditional role for free safety then?

Strahan played the game so maybe that's how the Giants did it.

Yeah we heard the same thing about Kam when he was out. How many QBs do we have on this defense?

Strahan knows absolutely nothing about how the Hawks handle their defensive assignments. It is just conjecture on his part.

If he had done just a very basic amount of research he would know that Wagner and Kam are the front and back QB's of this defense. It only shows he doesn't bother to check his facts before he opens his mouth.

He's not the first talking head/ass to say this. I think most of them just regurgitate what they hear from eachother

But that's the point. One or two basic calls and he or any of those others talking heads would have been able to get the facts straight. But no one wants to do basic research. I know sports talk is not up to journalistic standards, but that is just beyond stupid.

I think Kam makes the call in the Secondary, when he was out of the game, McCray took over the calls. It was on the play where Sherman was pissed off at our DC that it was known that McCray was suppose to relay the message, the problem was Sherman was lined up incorrectly but McCray didn't think twice to let him know thinking Sherman already knew what he was doing.

It's Wagner and Kam. Wagner makes them in the huddle and makes adjustments to the front seven. Kam specifically was tasked to learn behind Milloy to make all adjustments in the secondary.

Their communication to each other is imperative from front to back. They are all to communicate heavily and be on the same page, however.

Don't believe the ish you hear on TV. They are to incite drama wherever possible and usually don't know what they're talking about in the first place.
