Don't know about you but I don't want to roll into SF, NO, or GB for a playoff game.

Agreed. As it is Green Bay would be a dogfight regardless and New Orleans/San Francisco at home are nearly as good as us at home. Not something you want to deal with if you don't have to.

Yes, it matters for HFA.

This. All of those except one Stealers team and the Giants teams have had at least 1 home playoff game. You need at least 1 game at home during the playoffs to rest up and not have to travel.

If we had had a home game last year, we probably would've made it to the SB, at least the NFC championship.

Packers won the Super Bowl in 2010 without a home game. Three times in the last eight years it happened. 6/8 played on Wild Card weekend.

This is something that has been driving me nuts. It is being completely glossed over by a lot of people (and Seattle media especially) that WE DONT KNOW HOW THE SEAHAWKS ARE GOING TO LOOK IN THE PLAYOFFS.

People are saying things like "yeah if the Hawks play like that vs the Niners they will lose". Well I'm gonna go out on a limb and say if the Niners play like they did the last two times vs us, they will lose. Or if the Saints play like they did against the Jets they will lose.

Back to the OP. Two things matter in the regular season for us right now.

1) Can we get healthier and maintain a decent level of health going into the postseason
2) How many wins we have

I don't like the way we've been playing lately. In fact I hate it. But as long as we keep winning, it all doesn't matter. We just want the advantage of higher seeding in the playoffs. If we win the division by a half game, how we beat the Rams and Tampa DOES NOT MATTER.

Regular season showings do not automatically indicate who goes the furthest in the playoffs. Ask the Denver Broncos of last year. As much as everyone (media, fans, players themselves) like to try to predict things in the NFL based off recent performances and try to predict how the future turns out, just about everyone is wrong almost all the time at some point. It's why we love the NFL. This isn't basketball with 4 teams who have a shot at a championship. This isn't baseball where the best team usually wins. This is controlled chaos.

I for one am not going to fret about how the Hawks may or may not play in the future. I simply do not know. None of us do. I'm just going to enjoy with every win we inch closer to that top seed and giving us the best shot in the playoffs.

It does for seeding purposes, other than that it probably matters to the players too.

We all know it matters to the fans, but that goes without saying.
