Def. a lot of sides to it. If I sit in a different section for a game, I sell my seats for face value. And always to someone I know. I've never once sold for over face or to an opposing fan. Just my preference. I refuse to have opposing fans in my seats. Ever.
People own the tickets, they can do what they want with them. I hate seeing them get sold to fans of other teams, but it's their tickets, their right.

The one thing they do risk is that if someone gets in a fight or something like that, YOU can lose your season tickets. And I know people who have lost theirs because an opposing fan got them kicked out of their seats.

If I had season tickets, I doubt I’d sell them.

Caveat…if I paid for them, I wouldn’t give a rat’s ass what anyone else thought about what I do with my money.

I do hate seeing Lumen turned into a ‘visitors’ game for our Hawks.

Rising costs and paying $200 for two bags of groceries isn’t helping folks hold on to their tickets.

What kind of real fan isn't a season ticket holder?
The kind that can only afford NFL+ because they are putting kids through college and caregiving for elderly parents so can't travel.
I imagine there are thousands more real fans who can't afford tickets for a million reasons. Many of them would go to every game if they could. Those fans aren't the problem right. We're discussing bandwagon fans that squander the opportunity because they have season tickets they can't afford, aren't excited by the current team or *insert ridiculous excuse for being a lame ass fan*.

IMO (you don't have to agree, IDGAF) selling your ticket(s) to the highest bidder rather than attending the game yourself or selling to other Hawks fans makes you a sell out, traitor, POS. If you can't afford them or only care when we're winning PLEASE give them up so a real fan can get them. If you're a real fan you shouldn't wait for the team to "be better" in order for you to want to attend. Mediocre/bandwagon fans don't help the team, they are a big part of the problem (at games and on .net)

This is the slang definition of "sell out" according to Google -
Informal. a person who compromises their personal values, integrity, talent, etc., for money or personal advancement. Informal. a person who betrays a cause, organization, or the like; traitor.

Our fans use to be a force. Make our Home Field advantage great again!...or move along.
Well said.

It's utter bullshit to call others out for selling tickets. Have you walked in each of their shoes to know why they choose to sell?

Financial hardship is a real thing and you shouldn't judge a person who is trying to make a dollar any way they can.

I could write a book on this topic but that about sums it up for me today.

By the way, I am calling @bigskydoc out here. He has maintained my season ticket holder status as a fantastic steward, renter for the past couple of years due to my transition in life (divorce, moving to Astoria, OR). The deal works for both of us and I am completely enamored with his dedication to travel the miles he does, even knowing there's a 50/50 chance of a victory these days.

In my case, I have sold my seats to a fellow fan, but I get prickly hearing people judge others for why they are selling their seats. Yes, of course, some are money hungry grubs, but it certainly isn't the case for many others.

Yep, it's their right to do what they want with their own tickets.
Shoot, I have friends in Canada who just couldn't make the games and sold a couple games.......making enough to pay for their entire season.
It worked out great for them.

I am not a supporter for losing our homefield advantage but it can be very difficult to not sell your tickets to the highest bidder even if that bidder is a fan of the other team.

Also, how the hell can you even vet the buyer for being a fan your team, or a fan of the opponent. You’re not going to go to those lengths. Also, Cheeseheads are known travelers that will support GB on road games. As much as I despise GB, they have awesome fans and I can’t knock them for that.

He isn't the first player to say something like this. And he's not wrong. Again, it's DK, so..........treated differently.
And that's fine. I'm glad he said something. Thru thick and thin, be there in the stands if you can.

Like I said, it's DK, so this story will always take on a life of it's on. It's a trip. Total team guy who gets branded as some team cancer etc.
Me thinks if a different player said it, he would get praised for it. Just a hunch.

DK brings the criticism on himself. Not necessarily about selling tickets but his repeated bonehead penalties and turnovers. Highest in the league at his position since he has been playing.
Seahawk fans didn't just decide to get irritated with him. He brought it on himself with repeated stupid moves and then some comments saying he isn't going to change and hasn't done anything wrong.
Dude isn't the brightest bulb in the box.

Edit: no one said he is a team cancer that's just you making a strawman argument. He has repeatedly done completely preventable costly mistakes. Kinda like Geno whom you rightly want him to cut down on.

Yeah, because he's done that sooooo much this year. Unfortunately, people have already made their minds up about the guy. Dwelling on stuff from the past, even when the guy has clearly cleaned it up and grown up. And that's fine.
Fan how you want, do you. The obsession with blasting this guy 24/7 is just odd, to me. Not saying you're wrong, I'm right etc. It's just odd.
He's not the problem child many make him out to be. I'd have a LOT more respect for people if they could just be honest and say "I don't like the guy"

I like Geno as a person, can't stand him as a QB. It's not hard to just put it out there and be honest.
I like DK as a person and a player, so I'm probably a bit biased. Again, if this was a different player, I doubt there would be nearly as much blow back.

But not really that important. He said something that's true. Players have said stuff like this for years. If this was someone from the LOB, they would be praised for it.

You brought up the past in these posts. You are chastising this board for past posts when people were annoyed at his constant dumb decisions + turnovers. But mostly his lack of self control. Early this year he had those same issues. Lately he hasn't. That's great but your posting about the past and what has been discussed in the past then saying but hey hasn't done that the past 8 games though!
