Yeah and someone mentioned a pod where it got expanded on. I have no clue if it’s true or what Gee meant, and I can’t stand his takes so who knows.

It wouldn’t shock me tho if DK liked a Darnold signing as he’s younger and has allowed guys to produce like Jefferson that he would be fine staying.

Hey, let's not suddenly ignore this thread! 😉
One of the Seahawks Youtubers just said that Gee Scott (who is pretty connected with the team) posted that DK might want to stick around now as there was some friction between him and Geno. Just sayin.
I don't doubt there was some friction. Geno and DK never had great chemistry. Geno was visibly pissed off in that game where DK ran a bad route and it led to the game losing interception. This wasn't just a one-off. And DK probably felt he wasn't getting enough targets.

I doubt he's coming back. It's a toothpaste out of the tube situation. DK wants a stable QB situation and he wants to get paid.

JS would be wise to get the draft capital and shore up o-line or use the capital to trade up for a QBOTF.

I just never felt like they were buddies and it seemed like there was friction. DK is one of Russ’ guys too.

I wouldn't let DK back in the building just yet. He requested a trade and there seems to be some interest so let's ride this out and see what DK's true value really is. Seems like he doesn't like 11 other WR's making more $ even though the production largely supports that.
If playing on a non contender wearing those neon green uni's in cold, damp & dark Seattle is just too much then we should accommodate him.
This is a opportunity to get some value for a rare weapon before time & a high salary cap # diminish his value.
In short, I say we hold out for a 1st or a 2nd & change.

If DK has issues that Geno was the problem, well that tells me that DK doesn’t take any responsibility for his own play. DK is just not worth the money he is commanding

We all saw what a disruptive pass rush could do to the best QB in the league during the Super Bowl, it is hard to imagine any QB doing well behind our OL. Never mind we can’t run block worth a shit either

I never had any dislike to Geno but I am happy we are not locked in on him either a massive contract for the next five years. Like DK, Geno is not worth the money he wants

I take the "more stable" QB situation as he knows there will be a new QB here very soon. I don't think it's a knock on Geno's play per se, just some certainty of who that while he's in his prime years. Maybe it means the Seahawks are taking offers on Geno and DK knows it.
That's what it looks like now

The Athletic now reporting the asking price has dropped to a second rounder. That was fast.

I’m hoping a high second. I read teams laughed at 1st and 3rd and JS was only being offered a 3rd.

If what you say is true I see them absolutely moving on from him. I’d be happy with a high 2nd like patriots pick. If it’s a late 2nd I would hope they could get more.

Oh wait, he asked for a trade. I doubt there were pitchforks for him. Again, DK isn't doing anything different than players have been doing for years.

You know we don’t have to trade him. He is still under contract. If he walks after his existing contract we would still get a third round compensation pick for him

Whether we actually trade him or not, everyone should of have learned a lesson this week about not believing everything that's said to the media. Teams are always playing games and have reasons for wanting certain things to be out there.

Agreed on Gee Scott…he’s constantly all over the place and really hard to listen to. Like ice picks in the ears…he should go back to washing cars

While that’s true to an extent. It sounds like Seattle 100% wanted Geno back and thought he would be. Report of offering 2 years $45 million per year suggest that. Geno just wanted to go with Pete.

At this point, I say screw DKs request on where he wants to go. To a warm city, contender etc. Trade him to the highest bidder. If he doesn't like it, too damn bad. Trade him to Cleveland or the Jets. Nice and COLD there 🤣🤣🤣🤣
