Should we start a new thread about, is DK penalized too much?
Well unlike his mentor, he doesn't have a no trade clause in his contract to pick where he goes. The FO might do what they can to appease him because that's just who they are, but for me (as a fan) when a player requests a trade or allows their camp/agent to put that out in the media, I have no issues cutting bait with the highest offer.

No I can't relate to professional athletes making 10s of millions being set for life playing a game with access to the world's best equipment , trainers, doctors, and nutritionists then complaining about not making enough $$.He wants more money, warm weather, and more stability? I don't think any of us can relate to such absurd desires like wanting a better quality of life for ourselves and our families.
I'm certainly not making the argument that there havn't been times where DK has allowed opposing players to get into his head in the heat of battle. Sucks when it happens, but I don't get too bothered about it because I think that same passion also drives his success. Sometimes you have to take the bad with the good.C'mon, you seriously can't see that opposing teams caught on to the fact that you could get DK upset and under his skin? Yes, he did better this year, credit to him on that. But lets not deny what has been obvious to everyone.
Doesn't make him a team cancer or anything like that but I for one never liked him embracing the baby act.
I take the "more stable" QB situation as he knows there will be a new QB here very soon. I don't think it's a knock on Geno's play per se, just some certainty of who that while he's in his prime years. Maybe it means the Seahawks are taking offers on Geno and DK knows it.
Soon, this will become: DK TRIES TO STAB FAN, HE HATES SEATTLE, KIDS AND DOGS.He wants more money, warm weather, and more stability? I don't think any of us can relate to such absurd desires like wanting a better quality of life for ourselves and our families.
This was a thought I had when this came out.Maybe it means the Seahawks are taking offers on Geno and DK knows it.
It's kinda petty to complain about the cold weather in Seattle, as if it's a city known for getting lots of snowfall, especially if you're a pro athlete getting paid tens of millions of dollars. It's not GB or Buffalo. He wants more money, warm weather, and more stability? I don't think any of us can relate to such absurd desires like wanting a better quality of life for ourselves and our families.
Solid!
But, isn't your post kind of petty? Yet AGAIN, he's not saying or doing anything that other guys haven't done for decades. No way, someone saying they prefer warm weather? Break out the pitch forks!!!!!It's kinda petty to complain about the cold weather in Seattle, as if it's a city known for getting lots of snowfall, especially if you're a pro athlete getting paid tens of millions of dollars. As for the "stability at QB" comment, you gotta deal with the hand your dealt, no single player has roster control, QB's come & go for various reasons. DK believes himself to be an elite receiver, so he should be able to make it work no matter who's throwing him the ball. Justin Jefferson had to deal with a QB change, and he's still the same player with Darnold that he was with Cousins.
Didn't really want to be correct on this.I still really hate the idea of moving on from DK, overall. I just think: No, he's not a top 5 guy but he is a unicorn in what he brings to the field plus I just think he's a cool character.
But if his contract's gone and Tyler's contract is gone, that's nearly $30M in cap savings for next season right there. That's Teven Jenkins, Drew Dalman, and a couple of vet FA WRs.
This was a thought I had when this came out.
I think 90+% of what's going on is just money related, but there was a part of me that thought this was a sign about what the Seahawks approach to 2025 was going to be and him not wanting to be a part of a rebuild. (Issue is that he doesn't have final say of where he goes without a no-trade clause.)
So far, we've made no moves that suggest a rebuild but FA period hasn't opened yet so there is still plenty of time for other shoes to drop.
DK has every right to go for what he wants and fans have every right to not really care for the dude. I couldnt stand Jamal Adams, he pushed his way off the Jets for money and everyone told me what a great team mate he was yada yada. And guess what Adams didn't care about anything but the money his entire time here. But, isn't your post kind of petty? Yet AGAIN, he's not saying or doing anything that other guys haven't done for decades. No way, someone saying they prefer warm weather? Break out the pitch forks!!!!!
Yeah, I think so. All the rumor mill before this came out was the chances for DK staying were plummeting (with one analyst saying odds were zero).Does Geno leaving pretty much guarantee DK will be gone?
