Details matter (end of game time management)

Coach keeps talking in interviews about the details. I think we saw the result of that last night with a couple of plays at the end of the game:

- Macdonald calls a timeout before the Cardinals' last touchdown, with around 30 seconds left. I was wondering why the heck he would do that - with that little time left I figured it was better to put the pressure on the Cardinals to get their plays off. The 28 seconds that were left ended up being all Darnold needed to move into FG range.

- I also want to shout out JSN. He caught the ball to move into FG range and made a huge effort to get out of bounds. All good....but he was also watching the official to see if he stopped the clock, and when he didn't JSN was ready to jump up and move the ball to the middle of the field. The inbounds call ended up being reviewed, but I was impressed by JSN's situational awareness.

Little things mean a lot. Half the coaches in the NFL suck at end-of-game time management. That time out was key. I think overtime favors the Cardinals because the game is at their stadium and their offense clearly had generated some momentum.

Also the Refs were in "F*ck the Seahawks over" mode so we didn't want a chance of them (OR Reek) to do so in OT.

Just like MacDonald preserved time at the end of the game, Gannon did not do the same at the end of the first half when the Hawks drove deep in their end to conserve time for his offence.

I'm also concerned that we are not going for it on 4th downs and trying the field goals. That cost us the SF game, and almost cost us last night.
