There's a lot to be said about divisional motivation and rivalry. Divisional foes face each other twice a year; familiarity helps a lot in individual matchups (more to follow on individual matchups). We were the last divisional team to win at Candlestick since 2008. No one else has won there either.

To answer a question in one of the posts above:

Last 2 games at the Clink: 71 - 16 in favor of the Seahawks.

Last 2 games at the Stick: 32-23 in favor of the Niners.

Vegas sets the average home field advantage at 3 points. Football is a game of individual matchups; infer what you will about the above scores. Most Whiner fans I've seen have inferred: PED's, "cheating" with crowd noise at the Clink, luck, and the fact that they have 5 championship rings.

Yeah, I can't even do the math, and I'd have to look it up, but I think in our last two games up here, we beat them by a total of 50 points or so, and in the two games down there, they won by 30? Maybe? Not to mention the obvious which is that losing by two points in SF this year is an improvement over our loss last year... I dunno, pretty clear the 49ers fans don't believe in stats, or points, or records, or something. 5-2 on the road is damn good, especially having had four 10 AM Pacific kickoff times, which typically are a problem for our team.

I'd be thrilled for the 49ers to get eliminated entirely from the playoffs... but that probably won't happen, so my second choice is they get the five seed so we see them here for the NFC Championship. The beatdown would be so thorough and so sweet... and then Angry Man can bolt for Texas, so he doesn't have to hear the 49er fan base complaining about how it doesn't matter how many wins the 49ers get if they can never beat the Seahawks...

First and foremost, thanks for every 'Hawks fans posting in this thread and contributing to smacking that 9ers fan down from his high horse. Some awesome wins.

Secondly, Bocci to reply to your quote.

Last two games in Seattle, Seahawks have won 71-16, a difference of 55 points.

Last two games in San Fran, 49ers have won 32-23, a difference of 9 points.

Even if you add up the point differential in the last 4 games plus the safety Harbaugh didn't accept in the @SF '12 : +16, +2 (@SEA '11), +9, +2 = 29 points in SF last 4 wins over Seattle.

Seahawks beat that total in 1 game in the 42-13 match-up (+29).

In 2011, with T-Jack, a shattered O-line, scrub WRs, and a defense that only began to realize its potential, a SF team that would end the season 14-4 could only beat the Seahawks by 2, 19-17 in the Seattle match-up.

If San Fransisco fans think the 49ers can punk the Seahawks at the C LINK come the play-offs, especially the NFC CG if it comes to that... are going to be dismally, and thoroughly dissappointed.

Don't they have 5 Super Bowl victories, though? That should shut us up.....Ha!

Of course it should. I think fans should not be allowed to bring up championships after their trophies are old enough to legally vote.

The Seahawks finally got the Ws on the road this year, congrats.

But the film does not lie at the disparity of the team at home vs away.

And yes it is bigger than just about every other team except maybe the Saints.

Mortal on the road, perhaps immortal at home.

We have the same point differential on the road as the Niners do at home and the same record. The team you call mortal on the road is equal to the 49ers homefield advantage. That can't feel very good if that is all you can hang your hat on.

We all know if Wilson wins on Sunday its the most any quarterback has won in history in their first two years. He will also have the most away games ever won in the first two years of ones career.

I am consistently amazed at how ignorant 49ers fans are. You would think with 5 rings their fan base would have a better understanding of how hard it is to win away games. They are home games for a reason.

I couldn't find a 30 year chart and don't care enough to do the research and create my own excel spreadsheet so this will have to do. From everything I have found it is deemed that home teams win at almost a 60% clip.

Notice how many teams have a losing win percentage at home? For the Whiner nation, look at the dates before popping off with Hawk home stats. You probably don't know this but the Hawks were one of the worst teams in the NFL for most of the 90's. Thanks in large part to Ken Behring. Yea that developer from Nor Cal...Nice try but even the NFL slapped him down.

Since we all love numbers.

Here is the Kaepernick's passing yards versus the 3 best teams he has faced this year-

@ Sea Kaepernick 127
Vs Car Kaepernick 91
@ NO Kaepernick 127
Vs Sea Kaepernick 175

That averages out to 130/per game quite studly if you as me :sarcasm_on:
