That’s probably right. There is article by Doug Farrar on how to “fix” Wilson. Basically, he needs to work with the new coach to change his style of play. Can the old dog learn some new tricks? We’ll see.

Watch old film on nfl plus (super cheap now) or yt From 2013 to 2020.
Any opponent. He always sucked at seeing the middle. He then as now would hold onto the ball. Hackett coached him first on not playing hero, quick game only, no interceptions. He gets 14 points. Russ interprets that literally. Then Hack tells him ok, we Are gonna give you Seattle style opportunities and he again gets 14 points.

Man.. you know it’s bad when they try and Promote a dude from within and he even turns it down…

That’s rough
He's a legit HC candidate this offseason. There are few jobs that are in the same league of bad as the Broncos HC job right now. I'm sure he'd much rather have a chance at one that most likely isn't going to tank him fast.

From CBS Sports
Russell Wilson is officially lost: Wilson may have had his worst game as a professional, finishing just 15 of 27 for 214 yards with one touchdown and three interceptions in a 51-14 loss to a 4-10 team. The game started ugly, as Wilson just heaved a pass up the sideline to a well-covered Courtland Sutton, marking the beginning of a day where he seemed lost in decision-making and getting his team together.

His first two interceptions were head-scratching moments, and Wilson's offensive line didn't seem to care what he had to say. The Broncos are stuck with Wilson, and his head coach won't be an excuse for poor play next year after Nathaniel Hackett was fired.

Well they are saying the new Coach will have control over Football operations and report directly to ownership eliminating Paton I think his name is. So which Coaches have earned the ability to do that? Payton, Quinn, and Jim Harbaugh. Yeah he said he is staying put, but the Wally World owners can throw a lot of cash at him and give him the control he wants. Plus he is exactly what Wilson needs to shake his ass up or get him to request a trade. Quinn would bring Schotty or Kellen Moore with him I would bank on it, Payton already lining up a Coaching staff for where ever he ends up.

Quinn? Dan Quinn? Has earned the ability to have full control over football operations? He has six years as a head coach with two seasons with winning records and only two playoff wins. That resume does not scream, "Here, have full control of football operations."

Yeah I was just thinking about that. Why out your potential and future HC chances at risk to be interim HC for a QB that does his own thing…

Smart move by him to deny the “promotion” tbh

Look at it from the Doinks perspective, he has been to a Super Bowl recently or more recently then anyone else, he is good with defenses, and If I am right he is bringing Schotty or Moore with him also. Thats what gets him the control.

Who is they?

I wouldn’t trust any of the candidates you listed without a GM

The Bronco’s job will be the least attractive HC job this off season. I am expecting a 1st time job for not one of the hot coordinators but a 2nd tier and that the expectations will be low due to the situation. I wouldn’t be surprised if some of the present Bronco’s will demand to be traded

Sometimes in baseball at the trade deadline there will be “fire sales” for good young prospects in the NFL this could be replaced by draft choices. An option for the Bronco’s on 2023 or 2024 wound to release Wilson if he doesn’t turn his ass around he will need to want to change like an alcoholic or drug addict

No, he is washed in all terms starting with fundamental football decision making. When he should throw the ball away, he takes sacks. When a sack is what is preferable for clock management, he elects to throw away the ball. countless examples abound.

I think these folks are absolutely high.

1. Jim Harbaugh failed at doing corporate for the ceo representing the dying wealth of 1980s shopping malls in Jed York. He won’t put up with that bill shut from America’s Walmart owner either.

2. Sean Peyton, double lol. You would need to give the draft picks you don’t have to the Saints for one.

3. Dan Quinn, who heard everything that Sherm and others were saying. He was the buffer and fortunately the hc position at atl presented itself. Who is going to stall their own career?

The article states that the DC turned down the offer of interim HC lol.
That tells you everything you need to know about the current organisation and team.

2 games left, just enough time to have an 0-2 record as a head coach going into the open market for a job next year.

What a joke

Assuming Rypien's beef with the OL was that they didn't help Wilson back up, he was right to hold them accountable. Not helping your QB back up on live tv is a BAD look. Doesn't matter how bad your team is, or how you feel about the guy. Rypien was doing what Wilson should've, but given his comments about Seattle/PC after he was a safe distance away from his former team, one can assume Wilson's not the type of guy to be straightforward & air his grievances about you to your face.
