It's a business. I do the same when I change companies, and I expect that my people will do the same when they leave mine. Raid the kitchen cabinets on the way out. Good companies are built with resilience, and use it as an opportunity to bring in new blood. Companies that aren't ready for this tend to die off.

ETA - If you aren't hungry, and aren't looking to progress your career, I don't really want you in my company. With a slight exception for that old guy who knows his s***, has made a name for himself, and just wants to keep honing his craft.

Appreciate the 2025 run game.

Logical that he would continue to support Kubiak

Best Wishes to Rick Dennison.

Our OC was a run game coordinator. So maybe we didn’t want to keep him?

Meh. We poached the Ravens LB coach. It’s part of the game 🤷‍♀️
Don't believe he was on the staff any more but I could be wrong. Kubiak trying to put together the best possible staff doesn't bother me though.
He is trying to win like everybody else.

Dennison 100% was going to go with Kubiak no matter what just look at his coaching history and you’ll see why.

Never heard of him. If Mike MacDonald was willing to let him out of his contract, then maybe he didn't need him.

Or maybe it's a "trade," you can have Dennison, but you stay away from Rasheed!"

run game coordinator and senior offensive advisor

Sounds like a made up position to me, kind of like "HMFIC."

"best possible staff" for kubiak = ie snag as much of seattles staff as possible thats not HC basically.

and thats because he knows his only best shot of not being one or two and done is poaching as much as possible.. its the one thing in the new generation of NFL i absolutely hate. I personally feel that if a coach (in this case Kubiak) leaves a team that they cant poach from the team they left from for at least a year. I also feel teams should be forced to keep a HC more than a yr otherwise forfeit like 2 draft picks, so they'd think wiser of parting ways with HC's. I will say if the offense has a step back and regresses you bet your ass kubiak and the coaches he poached from Seattle public enemy #1 for Seattle fans imo

I was 100% on Dennison leaving, 80/20 on Janocko leaving as I knew he would be Kubiak’s OC if he didnt become the Seahawks’s OC. 50/50 on Benton but that was before Kubiak hired an assistant HC as that would technically be a promotion.

So after that it felt like everyone would stay put and they did.

I figure it is like when your best friend likes the same girl as you in high school. Can you really get mad at your friend for having the same taste in ladies?

At the end of the day it’s your job to have more to offer to get her or keep her. If you can’t then touché.

Yes. Pretty sure they have been a coaching team for a bit. He brought Dennison with him.
It was more the last two times Kubiak had full OC duties (Vikings and Saints) Dennison was with him and when Kubiak was with Broncos (QB) and 49ers (Shanahan calling plays) Dennison took the year off. And Dennison is practically a second father to Kubiak.

Felt like Kubiak would get two (literally Dennison and Janocko) and a possible (Benton) out of the offensive coaches and one defensive coach (thought for sure we’d lose Karl Scott but i dont even think he interviewed, then thought wed lose Jeff Howard, which I guess is still possible if he becomes their DB coach.

So that fact he could only get the two, (thus far and we really dont have to worry about losing any more offendive coaches) Seahawks made out pretty well.

And the Seahawks did keep the two guys I thought were most beneficial to both overall continuity and what Mike wants to be the backbone of the offense in the Running Game. Obviously, those guys were Outten and Benton.
