Just wanted praise the acquisition of DeMarcus Lawrence this year. He has been in my opinion the difference maker that was needed on this defense with veteran leadership to boot. Reminds me most of Chris Clemons/Avril. Stat line:

56 tackles
6 sacks
19 quarterback hits
2 returned for touchdowns

What a HUGE addition to this team. And I believe he only played 4 games last year for the Cowpokes. They took a chance and my god it has paid off. I would love to read the old thread. Just for fun to see what we all said about the signing.
His energy level on the field is insane. For any age, let alone his age.

Loved DLaw for a decade even though he was a Cowboy, he plays football and Defense like you’d want anybody to play football and Defense. don’t have to appreciate because I knew he was going to great addition to this team. And he’s been low key my DMVP ever since the Bucs game that he missed.

But the people who disrespected this man all off-season by calling him washed, old, and over-paid because of just looking at his sack counts, really showed they knew nothing about his game, intelligence, and leadership. Those peeps really should get in this thread and owe this guy an apology.

Clowney on the Ravens defense a couple years ago is a poor man's 2025 DLaw. He's playing with his hair on fire going after that ring.

John Schneider is a good man. If anyone says he isn't, then F$#@ You!

Pure speculation but..

My Son in law is a HUGE cowboys fan.

He was telling me that DLaw and Parsons didn’t like each other, and it was causing problems in the Locker room.

Was said that one of them needed to go, to our chagrin DLaw was the casualty.

And then that dumbass JJ got rid of Parsons anyway.

And the Cowboys don’t have a clue why they aren’t playing in postseason

Cowboys were worried about his injuries….

I know every player says something positive about their health when it comes contract time but, in this past offseason, D-Law said he was as healthy and feeling as good as he’s ever been.

Love this dude. Absolute baller.

How can you not root for the guy? Most probably thought he was past his prime and he was signed simply for depth, but he's out there busting his hump every week, proving he's still got gas in the tank (get it? 😉 ). He's the unsung hero for Seattle's defense.

So happy to have him. The dude is a monster of a player and a leader in the lockerrom and on the practice field.

Shades of John Randle, who we also picked up late in his career with the thought he might be finished. He rewarded us with an 11 sack season after playing 11 years for the Vikings.

Completely different kind of player. Completely different kind of vibe from him and on this team but the same feeling in having an over the hill vet come in and bless us with his generational skill and talent as his sun slowly set.

Only wish John could have made it 2 seasons more to play in the SB with us.

Hopefully DLaw gets there with us THIS year.

I met John Randle briefly after a game once and I have to say he has some of the biggest freaking arms I ever saw.
