Lol ur blind hatred for the pats is ridiculous. As soon as this non-story story came out haters everywhere jumped on it like a pot of gold.
BB: our football preparation of rubbing, placing substances on the balls, and breaking them in causes a small increase in psi.

Haters: pfft like that is even remotely possible. Its clearly much more likely that officials for once did their job and guaged the balls to 12.5 pregame, then a secret patriots ninja snuck onto the field, past thousands of eyes and cameras, stole the balls, removed exactly 2 psi from each, then returned them without leaving any evidence or anyone seeing. Oh and its clear they have been doing this for every game for a decade.
LOL, your blind loyalty is showing. Don't be a rube and use your common sense, if you have any.

kudos for the screen name however, it fits! :th2thumbs:

Thanks my man :thirishdrinkers:

And I am using common sense. No chance some pats employee deflated the balls after they were checked. No chance the organization would even risk doing that for the slightest of advantages, which BTW comes with slight disadvantages as well (harder for the quarterback to throw down field, easier for defensive players to intercept).

But you guys feel free to keep crucifying the organization with zero evidence against them. Either way, in the coming days you guys are going to have to deal with it when the NFL announces no punishment or possibly a miniscule fine for the very fact the balls did not meet requirements despite it being the result of natural causes and not deliberate action.

Cant wait for next Sunday. Gunna be a battle. GL to ya.

So anybody unconvinced by BB's explanation is a 'hater'? Got it.

Has there been a single rational-thinking Pats fan on this board, not driven by 'blind' faith and fandom?

No. Anyone who screams LIAR!! CHEATER!! with no evidence is a hater.

You don't understand science, do you? How does it feel knowing in your deluded state that the Earth must be flat even when everyone around you says otherwise. Fascinating.

And also would make it easier for his receivers to catch, especially if they were used to an under inflated ball (making it a larger advantage for them.) Incidentally, along with the Patriots fumble percentage greatly diverging from the NFL in 2007 (when the rule change would make under inflating much more effective), Brady's completion percentage also increased by approximately 3% (this holds true for all the years post and pre 2007)

Please, breakdown the overwhelming scientific evidence against the patriots in this case. Let me guess, Bill Nye said so? Guy is full of s*** and I've known this since I was forced to watch his dumbazz videos in third grade. Really Nye, only a needle can change the pressure in a football? There's nothing else in the world that could possibly affect the psi?

You'll soon realize you're the flat-earther in this situation.

After the Hawks win, I will laugh heartily at the patriots.

After the league punishes them for cheating, again, I will have another guffaw at their expense.

Funny how I'm apparently the irrational one here. You guys are the ones who's hatred for the patriots is driven by the fact that they had a camera in the wrong location 8 friggin years ago. I can forgive and forget your players' rampant PED use which is much more recent. Doesn't bother me at all.

The whole Belichick schtick (sorry we were cheating but didn't know we were cheating) is getting old. One has to wonder if Mr. Kraft feels this way as well.

psssst.....the only guy that got caught for doing PED's is on your team. Just thought you might like to know that.

Oh, and we hate the Patriots for many more reasons than the fact that they are known cheaters.

Filming signals never bothered me. Lying about it was a bitch move though.

"The Seahawks'€™ list of PED offenders includes Bruce Irvin (four-game PED suspension), Richard Sherman (victoriously appealed four-game PED suspension) and Brandon Browner (four-game PED suspension), to name a few. So bad was the testing-positive problem, safety Kam Chancellor publicly said his team needed to "grow up" in May, a message spread by vets."

BB's performance was enhanced while he was on your team guy.

PEDs provide a much bigger boost than having a camera on the sideline.

Funny thing about NE trolls is that most come here to argue why the Pats are the better team and for some reason deserve our respect and, yet, in the process they just make us respect their team less.

Keep it up NE trolls, your constant denials, elementary arguments and failure to listen to reason just confirms what we and every other fanbase thinks about you and your cheating team.

So when was it exactly that Coach Carroll and Wilson lied and claimed it never happened?

Funny thing is not one iota of reason or scientific evidence damning the patriots has been put forth by hawks fans or the NFL investigation team.

PV=nRT

Assume volume (V) and moles of air (n) are constant and R is a defined constant.

10.5/12.5 = 287/T. T is the temp of the ball @12.5 psi in Kelvin. 287K = 57 F. Solving for T = 341 K. Converting back to F gives 154 degrees F. I would love to see their experiment of rubbing balls with anything that would get the air temp of the ball at 154 degrees that doesn't involve an separate heat source. Is that proof enough for you? Do you think air at 154 F wouldn't be noticeable? His STORY is BS.

Irvin was for substance abuse policy violation....ie smoking weed. Sherman was never proven to be guilty of anything other than having to take the test with Browner while the guy taking the samples botched the whole process up and admitted to lying about it. There was a whole report published detailing what happened after the conclusion of Sherman's appeal. Go ahead and read that if you don't believe me.

Kam's message was referring to not smoking weed...and it was in response to Irvin's suspension.

I'm starting to feel a little concerned for the mental health of all these cheating defenders. It's going to be catastrophic when the hammer falls. I guess that's what the airtight denial mode is for, to protect against the impending nuclear meltdown.

Beyond just having factual evidence from an investigation, haven't you guys been watching the NFL? They banned a head coach for an entire year just for maybe kinda not forcing his D coordinator to stop an internal bounty system that may or may not have had any affect on the game. The NFL banned a player for a year for punching his fiancee, something that had nothing to do with the game. The Patriots have called into question every game they've played over the past 7 years or so. They've put Goodell in a position to look like either a man of integrity intent on defending the shield from tarnish, or the billionaires' stooge.

Your team will pay dearly. Either get used to it and deal with the reality of the siituation, or continue with your "haters gonna hate, we're victimized, conspiracy, fake science" nonsense. Your proneness to Patriots propaganda doesn't matter to other fans, or the game next Sunday, or the future of the League. How you choose to confront the crime and punishment only affects your own psyche.

Don't know, don't care. Wouldn't bother me if they did because I'm not obsessed with finding reasons to hate on a team because they're successful. Stop acting like the patriots ran some covert operation and tried to cover it all up. They put a guy with full patriots gear on the sideline with a camera in front of the entire stadium. Weren't exactly trying to hide anything.

So, the evidence is mounting. That Sharp Analysis guy posted a follow-up article. He notes that the change in fumble rate started when the rule change took effect in 2007, the rule Brady lobbied for. He also shows that Patriots players are much worse at fumbling both before and after their tenures with New England. Pats apologists can claim all they want that Belichick's magical discipline can explain this, but it rings pretty hollow given the gargantuan effect size and the fact that they were, um, caught with deflated freaking footballs.

You did kinda leave out the part where the NFL has no evidence that the patriots ever tampered with their footballs. So ya, if Goodell wants to look like a man of integrity he won't punish them for something they didn't do
