Talented, yes, but a big chunk of change to pay a guy who is injured on the regular.

It seems suspicious to me that everyone is overlooking the fact that HC Quinn, who took over a bottom dwelling Commanders team which he took to the conference championship game in his first year with them, has now added a hypothetically game changing talent to his roster. Not bad for a guy so many on this board rejected as some sort of failure of a coach.

From what I recall they had A LOT of cap room, and still do this year. It helps speed up the process when you pick top 2 and can hit on your QB. Same with the Texans last year. I love Dan Quinn but he walked into a pretty ideal situation for a quick turnaround.

Never hurts to start out by grabbing a rookie QB who shows off magic.

Exactly. He wouldn't have had it so sweet here in Seattle and I have huge doubts that he would've had greater or even as MUCH success in his first year as MM did, considering the situation he walked into was far better.

Florida and loving GOP country!
Commanders slowly leaving the laughing stock of the NFL to one of the top SB contenders. Thats a huge weapon for Daniels (anticipating that Deebo attitude is because the fall out with the niners). Gonna be interesting seeing him along with McLaurin
You see what a good young cost controlled QB can do for you! Add in Dan Quinn to this as well. I am pulling for them.

Before this past season, Deebo was a formidable player. What happened to him is what everyone said would happen if Kyle Shanahan kept playing him as a RB. Too much wear and tear, and of course the inevitable injuries. Deebo's too young to be washed up, and he only has Kyle to blame.

In 2021, Deebo had 77 catches for 1405 yards plus 365 yards rushing. He was one of the premier WRs in the league. An occasional rushing attempt is fine for a WR, but the beating that Deebo got took its toll.
