The emergence of Moore has been huge and he looks like he'll be a big part of the O for years to come. It's been a long time since we have found a WR that wasn't a high pick that has produced like he has. At least I can't remember one of recent.

Doug Baldwin comes to mind, he wasn't picked at all.

Doug is one but that's 8 years.

LOL that is recent, you don't get one of these guys every draft at one position.

He has been a great surprise this season. He has really stepped up and been making plays the last few games. Impressed!

Doug.

Very subjective, but in no way do I consider 8 years to be recent.

TBH finding a late round WR stud is not an easy thing to do. Admittedly Tyler Lockett was a 3rd round pick and that's pretty late for any good WR as well. In fact our top 3 guys are a UDFA, 3rd rounder and 7th rounder. Not many teams are going to have that for a WR corps.

As it stands today, no one in our starting 5 skill positions was higher than Lockett. Wilson, Carson, Baldwin, Lockett and Moore are unbelievable draft values. But Schneider sucks so whatever.

And our starting RB is also a 7th rounder?

The emergence of Moore is H U G E, he addresses a weakness on our offense. Lockett, Moore and 1/2 of Baldwin,

Where you're drafted doesn't matter. It doesn't dictate what a player's success will be. TJ Housh was a 7th round draft pick, yet had a great career. Tom Brady was a 6th rounder, he's arguably the best QB ever to play the game. As a matter of fact, some players who are drafted in the late rounds or undrafted seem to play with more motivation because of it. They play with a chip on their shoulder and try to prove their doubters wrong.

Moore's ability to catch away from his frame is huge, and with a QB like Russ who can put those 50/50 balls in a spot to give his guy a chance, the guy is just a great fit. Feel like we haven't had that guy who could win all those since Tate.

Yep, 3 guys are major contributors. Two are 7th round picks, and the other was acquired with a 7th.

Carson, Moore and Coleman. That's some damn good work by the FO.

Great a few low round picks can be named. We all know those names. We also all know the names of the first round failures like Curry and if nothing changes Penny

That doesn’t mean there is a lack of correlation between high draft picks and success. High picks are likelier to play but lots of starts by undrafted and late drafted players.

I was going to post a thread this morning stating - PRich I was wrong

I though we really needed him but we found the extra receiver in Moore and it is a huge cap saving and hopefully long term success

He was good coming out of college, he just had to adjust to the NFL his route running and release's as well as reading defenses.

Dave Moore is very impressive and is a great compliant to our receiving core. The sky is the limit for this young man.

Cheers

Give it another 30 to 40 years and you'll find out how recent 8 years can be. :34853_doh:
