Sounds like they have been emphasizing 2 minute drills Defensively during OTA's this Spring.

That's great news considering how differently the falcons game could have turned out for us in the playoffs had there been more emphasis.

I do think they could do more with there blitz packages we'll see if there's any real change in how often they actually rush more than 4 players. It's good that there working on this since it cost us the NFC title game.

As much as I like and agree with Pete's "it's not how you play in the 1st quarter it's how you play in the 4th quarter" philosophy......

The Seahawks need to be better early. Offensively and Defensively.
For a team with a top scoring defense and a top running game, the amount of games we fell behind in was a bit concerning to me.

I see a load of dynamic ability on offense with Russell a year better and the addition of Harvin.
Likewise, the emphasis on pass rush excites me even more.

But we can't play flat on the road against good teams and expect to win. Early rush defense and pass protection are my biggest concerns with the Seahawks.

Hell, had there been more emphasis we'd have almost certainly been the number 2 seed if not number 1 - just hold out in Miami or Detroit and we're 12-4 and playing Green Bay at home that week after a bye

Emphasis, focus, attention, zeroing-in-on... Whatever buzz-word that is used to describe a coach making sure to cover as many facets of playing defense correctly, is fine by me.

As long as he puts the right emPHAsis on the correct syllABle, we are all good.

The game is 60 minutes, not just the last 15 or the final 2. But we certainly need to get better defensively in the final minutes of the game.

None of the links above worked for me for some reason, but this one did (bottom of page).
