Myles Garrett will head to Los Angeles, and in return, Cleveland could get (note "could") Pro Bowl edge rusher Jared Verse, a 2027 first-round pick, a 2028 second-round pick and a 2029 third-round pick. Reporters Ian Rapoport, Tom Pelissero and Adam Schefter all reported the negotiation.

The groundwork for this move was laid back in March when the Browns restructured Garrett’s contract, pushing his option bonuses back from the standard league year deadline to seven days before the regular season. That adjustment made trading him significantly more manageable and opened the door for Los Angeles to come calling.

Verse would be dope even though he talked hella shit on the Hawks on think he low-key respects us.

He has 2 years of very low cap hits + a 5th year option. So getting an edge with 3 years left will help bridge that gap after this year where Nwosu, Hall, and Fowler are UFAs and Lawrence has one more year but could easily retire. Because of that if it were me id be fine giving up our 2nd round pick (possibly a 1st rounder if we get their 3rd rounder back), + 3rd rounder (comp) and 5th round pick (comp) next season.

Browns can just sign bag merchant Clowney as a stop-gap and then be flooded with draft picks in this next draft. Where’d they have 2x picks round 1-3, 3x picks rounds 4-5.

Seahawks getting Verse would be the best edge rotation in the NFL top to bottom. Maybe Fowler is the odd man out (ala MVS) if a younger player happens to show out. And I can just imagine the hate Verse would have for the Rams (Dark Side approved) and any intel he could provide is a bonus.

I would love to get Verse. Forgive me here…but that’s who I wanted when we got Murphy.

Ofc, Murphy has worked out really, really, really well.

Add a young Edge of Verse’s caliber? Ooooooouuuuu

All the talk is about the Rams side of the deal my first thought was how the Browns made out getting a very good haul for a player that didn’t want to be in Cleveland anymore. If the Browns had kept Garrett they were only a 3-5 win team the future is bright for the Browns

Also remember when you have been at the top of your game for so long there is only one way to go and that's down.

There have always been exceptions ...... such as DeMarcus Lawrence as a recent Seahawks example.

Both teams appear to have benefited. A well negotiated mutually beneficial trade.

Rams are screaming desperation, Garrett is good, Verse is good, Pretty much a wash really, but the Rams with no Cap can affort to try and sign everyone with a name I guess. "We Ain't scarred" Rams obviously are.
Really think McVey wants his other ring then takes a break. Basically screw the future, it's not his problem

This is more to sell tickets to the not that committed Rams fans than he appreciably improves the Rams pass rush. The Rams had a pretty good pass rush last year, now they have a ‘star’ but will for sure pay a whole lot more for that pass rush.

Won’t it b e great to watch our team beat their’s this season. The Rams are going to certainly find themselves in cap trouble very soon.

I could still see us making a mid season move for Crosby if the Raiders suck or similar. Guess it just depends on our pass rush this year. Last year it did feel like we missed a dominant elite pass rusher and it was sack by committee. Showed up especially in the Rams games.
