Getting the best D Lineman in football is desperation?
For the Rams? Yes.

1. They already had a super bowl caliber roster.

2. Pass rush wasn't their weakness, Corner was, and they already addressed that.

3. They traded away Verse, who was DROY in '24, and still had a long-term future in the league, for Garrett, just so they can "win now".

I get it, it's Myles Garrett, but my point being, Verse is younger, cheaper, and still very productive. If I'm Les Snead, I'd rather have Verse and his future/potential along with the draft picks, than give up all that for Myles Garrett, cause my team is already the betting favorite to win the Super Bowl.

I’m not overly concerned. Verse had hate in his heart for us. He was a problem. Miles is coming hearing about, but not knowing this rivalry. There’s a difference. The only thing I hate is all the flowers the Rams will get all summer. It will be that much sweeter winning it all in their house while he gets to watch in the owners box.

Just a few things popped into my head...

*If John pulls off a trade for Verse that would be absolutely insane. Gives Verse a chance at payback twice a year, and he knows their offense's weaknesses and habits by now.
*How majestic it would be to see McVay going ALL IN this year just to fall flat on his face...I'd be so happy.
*With the NFL's love for Stafford/trying to get more interest from fans in the LA market, I could totally see some more BS like the Saints NFFCG game where they're like "I'm confused, how is that a flag again?" and brushing it under the rug like NOTHING HAPPENED. The SB is in the Ram's house so it wouldn't surprise me at ALL if there was severe steering in multiple games to help them along the way in the regular season.
*I can't wait to see McVay lose his temper like a petulant child again next year after all these moves. Whether he realizes it or not, Coach Mike is ragebaiting McVay by letting the media know he doesn't care and I'm LOVING IT.

That trade says more about that FO than anything. If I'm a young talent I'd rather not play there. Work hard and get shipped to a sadness factory? No thanks.

Wasn't Verse the dude that mentioned how out of synch they were against Seattle? I'm sure this speaks volumes in the locker room. Ask the LOB and Russ how that worked out.

That team is a trainwreck with ZERO synergy. The collapse and retirement of McButtwipe is going to be so tasty this year.

Holy crap. Of the past 10 drafts, the only player on the Rams roster picked in the first round (by them) is Ty Simpson, who will be on the bench the entire year if things go their way.

They do have Stafford. Of course, when you realize that they traded to get Stafford, that makes it even worse. They traded two firsts (2016/2017), two seconds and two thirds to get Goff. Then they traded Goff + two more first round picks for Stafford. So basically Stafford represents FOUR first round picks and a handful of others.

Eleven years of first round picks (counting 2027) and they end up with Stafford, Garrett, and a benchwarmer.

Bring your losing culture to the Rams!!! I’ll never hate that. He’s a stud , I was only a little concerned if Verse stayed.

I'm not gonna' sit here and claim that this doesn't make the Rams a lot better. This is ridiculous. How in the world can they afford this crap? And somehow, they'll be able to afford a massive contract for POOka.
This. I’d love to downplay it and think of the positives (draft capital being traded).

But…yah…no. This sucks.
