Pete only has three years on his Raiders' contract, which might be reduced to two if things fail to improve. That's a short timeframe, with that:
  1. I don't think Pete will go after Russell Wilson or Geno Smith, he will have to draft or sign a young QB and develop him immediately, he only has 3 years.
  2. Will they sign Lockett? A locker room guy, and still better than some of the Raiders' starters.
  3. Woollen, will the Raiders trade for Woollen? with a 4th or a 3rd?
  4. Will they sign Bobby if he is available?
Anyone else?

Carroll may add KJ to the coaching staff??

KJ, remember, also played for the Vegas Raiders as well.

KJ, might as well now coach the Vegas Seahawks!

It’s fitting, 😂

D. J. Reed, I think Pete should try to sign him. Releasing Reed was a mistake. IF Pete trades for Woollen and paired him with Reed, the Raiders instantly improved their defense backfield.

Releasing M jackson turned out to be a mistake too in hindsight but i was kinda surprised when they did
Wouldn't mind having him back , could use all the corner help we can get
Go Hawks

Russ would be a better fit. He already knows what he had in geDICORE
I love Russ, he has something left in the tank, but it is not enough to rise to the highest level. Now if he played behind the Eagles line, maybe. But to get a "next level" player, you need wheels.

Bobby Wags would seem like an obvious grab. I don't think JS would trade Woolen this year, but maybe.
Woolen seems to be not coachable. He has regressed since his rookie year and our young Macdonald is a zero-tolerance coach, remember how he swapped two highly priced LBs mid season?

True. More wishful thinking that this team moves on from gePICK. And I do NOT want Russ back her. Hell no.

Two things may have to happen for Wilson to join the Hawks, change to a different agent as Schneider clearly would not want to deal with his current one, and Wilson has to offer a hometown discount, a big one at that.

Both are not likely to happen.

NO. Do NOT want Russ anywhere near this team. That ship sailed long ago. NO
I was open to signing Wilson a year ago, a million a season for a vet is just too good to let go for toffee the cheapskate. A similar deal may be available on Kirk Cousin for next season.

I am open to a three-step dance of:

1. Cutting Geno, he can pursue his long-term contract with other teams.
2. Draft a QBOTF.
3. Sign a bridge on the cheap, Kirk?

The fan base can buy into a down season for the QBOTF to learn and mature.

Yeah, I agree. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a Russell hater. But regardless of whether he could help the team or not, he burned too many bridges before he left here, both with our GM and with a large segment of the fan base. And with his penchant for publicity, he would be a huge distraction.

Jamal Adams. Pete likes his projects
In retrospect, nailed this one! The Lockett prediction eventually was right. Did anyone else here laugh when not only did they sign Stone Forsythe, but he started at least one game this year.
