The 49ers drafted a guy that doesn’t even know how to play quarterback and has played less games at quarterback than most of us armchair quarterbacks in this group lol

I keep thinking Lance is going to be the man and start ripping it up.

I mean…he has to right? Everything they gave up for him?

Right?

they're seething. they're not just angry at @FrodosFinger, they're angry at the truth.

"It's hilarious that they have a 'Trey Lance Trying to remain relevant' thread that's at 10 pages. Over and over they keep bringing up the three 1st and 3rd pick that Lynch gave up for him. Frodosfinger or should I say 'Frodo got fingered' is gem of a poster ! Still trying find any way to say our team s**ks."

"So douch**g Frodosfinger creates yet another Trey Lance is garbage thread. I've never seen one moron so obsessed with this pick and the trades given up for Trey. It is indeed laughable and sad at the same time."

"Other fan bases are Lolpoint at us for using 3 first and a 3rd on a project QB with a SB ready team"

Trade Geno straight across for TL, throw in a meaningless "rounder" a a few million. I'd love to take a chance on his upside.

you don't even watch football. gtfo

I'd love to take a chance on his upside.

his upside is holding a clipboard on the sidelines until his contract expires. at this rate there is no way 49ers even pick up his 5th year option. lmao

I have been watching Trent Dilfer’s critique of the game film on Justin Fields all season. He analyzes the good, the bad, and the ugly. He has said, and Bears fans like me have seen, that Fields is making good progress despite having a crappy offensive line and the worst receiver group in the NFL. Trevor Lawrence has also made great strides in his second year. It takes time for a rookie QB to make the adjustment from college to NFL, especially for a guy like Lance who is inexperienced. Dilfer says it takes 30-36 starts to get a full evaluation of a QB. He knows more about this subject than anybody on this forum.

We don’t know how well Lance or Purdy will recover from their surgery. If they are both healthy, there will be a competition in training camp for the job. Let’s just wait to see how that plays out. It is WAY premature to declare Lance a “bust.” Right now, I just see him as a year behind Fields and Lawrence in development. Time will tell.

He’s like 6 years behind Fields from the looks of it on the field but in fairness to Lance he didn’t put a gun up to Lynch’s head and tell him to mortgage all that sunk cost into acquiring him

That's another point I should have mentioned. Fields played for Ohio State, with top-notch coaching, training, and Division-1 competition. He had much better college preparation in all respects.

imagine what justin fields could be doing right now in a kyle shanahan offense with deebo, kittle, cmc, ayiuk and a better offensive line like the 49ers have had. fields would be an mvp canidate next year. let's hope bears don't dangle him

So, which is it?
798 or 519 pass attempts in HS, College & NFL for Troy?

Bears will upgrade the OL and WR this offseason. In two years, I hope the Bears will have Eagles-style offense.
