Not saying you’re wrong but on the official box score of that game, it said that the first score of the game was at 14:53. Also, did it really take Percy Harvin 12 seconds to go 87 yards to start the 2nd half?
Does the clock start when they kick the ball? Gotta be 2-3 seconds of hang time? So 9 seconds to go 87 yards?

No. The clock starts upon the receiving team touching the ball so how is it that it was 12 seconds to run back the kick? Also, I’ve heard it from many years, but not sure how people are saying that 12 seconds ran off the clock when the Seahawks got the safety to start the game when the first score was at 14:53?

Harvin also didn't run a straight uninterrupted line which could have added a couple or so seconds?

I have no idea, maybe he had to take a roundabout path the the end zone?

Enough conjecture. First score of game at 14:53. First score of third-quarter at 15:00. Where is the 12 seconds everyone keeps talking about that I’ve heard for years?

I'll just ask this... does an extra point kick change the game clock? Nope.
Did Harvin score the touchdown at the second he caught the ball? Nope.

Box score is out the window.
The Harvin return may seem like it could be 12 seconds because the kick was 12 seconds in. If the kick does not change the clock than the td was scored 12 seconds in same as extra kick.

Doesn't the time show the time the play starts no finish:

In the first half the kick took 7 seconds so the first play from scrimage started at 14:53 but it was 5 seconds later thatAvril tackled Marino in the end zone. This stopped the clock at 14:48 which was the time Denver kicked off after the safety.

You image shows the Harvin TD at 15:00 which must be the time of the start of the play. The fact that the XP was scored at 14:48 shows the time the TD was scored.

The kick was at 12 seconds in? What does that even mean? It was the kickoff to start the second half.

Safety 11 seconds into game.

1747609429532
Percy TD 11 second into second half

Sorry, but to put this entire question to bed, the pictures (see clock) don’t lie. Both scores happened 11 seconds into the first half and second half.
