Contrary to some, we DID need this game

We really didn't need the game that bad. I'll put it this way, Tampa needed the game more than us. We were not going to catch the Cowboys. I don't see Detroit or Atlanta jumping us in the standings. This game was far from important. Just another regular season game.

I agree and disagree, winning out would have put us in great position for the 1 seed. Dallas has some difficult games remaining and they are bound to drop a couple.

Where I agree with you though is this does little to the bottom line as far as we are concerned. The only toss up game on our remaining schedule right now IMO is the Packers game. The Panthers, Rams, Cardinals and Niners will all lose by double digits. I think 12-3-1 is a very real possibility.

I'm half serious.

To be fair, I could realistically see us losing to Carolina and Green Bay. Playing in Green Bay in December is a toss up regardless of how bad the Packers have looked this year, It's not too crazy for me to think that.

However I am ridiculously confident about those last three, just the sour taste of losing to the Rams already and not being able to beat Arizona on the road will push us over the top. We've always been one of those, "we'll see you again teams". I expect nothing different here.

Weirdly enough I still think we'll have another loss but I'd be glad to be wrong.

I say 3-2 possible 4-1 likely, 5-0 possible.

3 game lead with 5 to play. 3 of those games at home. That was far from a must win game.
They need to win this Sunday, for many reasons. But, it's amazing how quickly people remember how some were on here saying they were gonna' lose 3 straight, and they went on to win all 3.

But that thinking is flawed. The likeliness of us winning out was extremely low. The only people who would expect that are Hawks fans. Good chance there is still one more loss on our schedule. Only chance we had to catch Dallas is if they lose three more games to end the year. I doubt that happens. The chances of that happening are probably lower than the Hawks winning out.
