Seven conferences have conference championship games this week (ACC, Big Ten, Conference USA, MAC, Mountain West, Pac-12, SEC). The AAC and the Big 12 don't have a conference championships but they play their final regular season games today. The Sun Belt wrapped up play last weekend. Several people have complained about the fact that the Pac 12 played their conference championship on Friday while the rest of the Power 5 conferences with championship games play theirs on Saturday. So let's discuss scheduling possibilities. Keep in mind that three different networks own the broadcast rights (ABC/ESPN, CBS, Fox). How would you like to see the conference championships scheduled? Here is my proposal.
Thursday Night: MAC Championship (ESPN)
Friday Night: Conference USA Championship (ESPN)
Saturday
Noon ET: various AAC & Big 12 games (ABC, ESPN, ESPN 2, Fox Sports 1)
3:30pm ET: various AAC & Big 12 games (ESPN, ESPN 2, Fox Sports 1)
4pm ET: SEC Championship (CBS)
5pm ET: Big Ten Championship (Fox)
8pm ET: ACC Championship (ABC)
9pm ET: Pac 12 Championship (Fox)
10pm ET: Mountain West Championship (CBS)
