Fair enough.

Please give an honest evaluation of the officiating of this game

Looked to me like most NFL games. Some good calls, some bad calls, some missed calls.

Like I said in the thread I started during the game, my opinion is that how the teams played had a far bigger impact on this game than the refs did.

Sooo ... I guess the NFL must really like the Seahawks since they've rigged/fixed/scripted us to win 11 of our 14 games so far?
Haha. Nope. They have been flipping the script and winning despite the NFL's best efforts.

Ok, so to be clear. When we lose it's because it's rigged against us, but when we win it's because we are so superior that even rigging the game against us can't stop us from winning?

The script is the script. Sometimes it goes according to plan. Sometimes the rebels are determined enough to over come it.

We've won 11 of our 14 games so far despite the NFL supposedly rigging/fixing/scripting the games against us. How do you guys rationalize this to yourselves?

I mean, if it is all indeed rigged/fixed/scripted, then wouldn't you have to come to the conclusion that the NFL is fixing it in our favor by now? Or is the NFL just so incompetent they can't even achieve their desired outcomes despite rigging/fixing/scripting everything?

Not every game is scripted as far as I’m concerned, and I certainly don’t think they are all scripted against us.

When I watch a game with my own (fairly well educated) eyes and see the shit I saw today, my mind can’t come to any other conclusion.

The Seahawks were not supposed to win this game.

The game wasn't rigged but there were a lot of PI calls by Colts DBs that were missed by the refs. They didn't call the game evenly. That pass to Shaheed near the endzone should have been a PI but it wasn't called.

"You guys"? I'm not sure I'm the one you want to have this conversation with. I'm just having fun with it all.

If I allow myself to really try to believe it's all scripted/fake I will be kind of devastated. Football Fandom had been and is a decent part of my life.

They can't always rig it like the old Lakers/Kings NBA series but sometimes they come close. Wasn't there a Sonics series too . . .?

Refs are influenced too easily. Usually it's by the home crowd, but in this case, it was the feel good story of Grandpa Rivers. So glad we pissed on everyone's parade.

What I believe at this point is almost every game is steered. This is different than scripted. Not as egregious, but in the end really not any better. Scripting would indicate the teams and players are in on it (like in professional wrestling). Steering requires only a couple of key resources to be in on it.

I can understand the counter argument and find it no less valid than any argument I can put out there for my position. But if you can watch how many games are officiated at this point (with the Colts game as exhibit 1) and not think that steering is even a possibility, you are delusional. (not directed at Welshers2, I quoted his post to make the distinction between steering and scripting.)

If that's the case, there's going to be a ton of steering toward the Rams winning the Thursday then.

You can't be serious. There were SEVERAL non-calls that helped the Colts. It was next level obvious.

JSN was mugged, no call. CLEAR PI against Sheed, NO call, and that would have put them in the red zone.
JSN practically being punched, then ANOTHER dude dives on top of him, no call.

The "pass interference" on 3rd down that was a CLEAN PLAY that magically continued the drive for the Colts.

Come on man, the refs were steering this game. And it takes away the joy of the best sport in the world.
Sadly, it's going to get worse on Thursday. They have their script, and the Rams will get the benefit of several calls and non-calls.
I never wanted to believe this stuff, but I'm done fighting it. This sh** is steered, rigged, whatever the hell you wanna call it.

Once it starts to become the WWE, good luck keeping fans around.

Rigged is a poor choice of words

Steering the games is a more accurate statement

And yes the NFL does many subtle things to influence the out come of the games.
