Hopefully, CMC can recover. From what I read, calf/achilles tightness is a ticking time bomb—similar to Sherman's injury; it's not a question of if but when it will tear.

Well that wasn't long ago. Like 4 or 5 seasons right? 9ers have only had a few good years recently which should mean they'll be back to a dumpster fire again soon. 9ers have been beyond crappy for much of the last 25 years, I look to them being bottom feeders in the conference again soon. I can't think of anything quite like the many coincidences and correlations of players being on a video game cover and then the very next following season they wind up unable to play for substantial amounts of time, for one reason or another. The "Madden Curse" is fascinating as hell.
