No doubt. All while we get to see teams kill us on it. There was some cool screen stuff in pre-season game 1. Hope they keep it rollin.
Funny you mention Lynch, drove me insane back in the day. It made no sense why we didn't use him more in the screen game. He had good hands and was a beast (no pun intended) in the open field. K9 in the open field is ridiculous. I like the fact that him and Charbs have different running styles. I'm beyond ready for some real smashmouth football. Unlike in the past where they CLAIMED they would pound the rock, and they just gave up on it early in games.

One of my absolute favorite Beast Mode plays was that little counter pass they would run with him.

The entire play would be going right, pocket moving with Wilson. There would be maybe one downfield blocker on the left. Lynch would squirt out the backside, and Wilson would make an easy arc pass to him. There would be no one within 20 yards of Marshawn. Probably so successful because we ran it so rarely.

A majority of K9's off days this year have been because he was held out by the staff, not because he is/was injured.
Both Charbs and K9 do a good job of catching the ball. Outz isn't bad at it either. My main hope is that we get through this year without a lot of injuries. I think we have enough top tier players if we can survive without many injuries we can be right in the thick of playoff contention with a realistic chance to go the distance.

As an outsider of the team facing the Seahawks week 1, I hope Charbonnet is your starter. I feel K9 is the way better back at least when he has faced the 49ers. I think K9 would be consensus RB1 unless he is injured

I love Walker but he’s already sidelined with a foot injury and has missed a week of practice. Sometimes you just got to want it a little more and play through a bruise. Along with Charbonnet both he and Walker could be like a Montgomery/Gibbs but they need to be on the field for that to happen

They both had roughly the exact same rushing yards last year but Charbonnet averaged like a yard more per carry. Charbonnet is a freak.

Should be a good game week 1. You got a young, fast and athletic team on one side which is the Seattle Seahawks and on the other side a last place squad that lost the brunt of their roster to free agency or trades hoping to rekindle success with a few overpriced old players and whatever Lynch signed as replacements. You have a great offensive minded coach tho which makes up for a lot of those misgivings.

49ers weakness on defense last year was stopping the run . The reworking of the defense was to get younger and choose to not sign a lot of those higher priced free agents. I’m happy Saleh is back but it will probably take 4-6 weeks for the rookies and second year players to start to gel. This may surprise you but I would not pick the 49ers to win week one

Personally, I like Charbs run style more. But, I have no doubt that a healthy K9 is the better back.

The good news is, we can like both. Blessed to have two really good RBs in the stable.

It's run rarely because it's a dangerous play to run. The defense doesn't have to do much to discourage an opponent from running it...just make sure one guy is over there, somewhere, and no QB will take the chance.

Yup a lot of turnover on that team. That combined with bad run defense plus questionable receivers.. I'm not sure why 9ers are the favorites to win the division.

Seattle has been immune to utilizing the screen game, lol. I don't get it. Lynch was a beast catching stuff out of the backfield, but even then it was a pretty rare to see. I want to finally see it implemented properly.
The screen game looked pretty good in the Raider game. Under center looked good too. No more getting stuffed behind the LOS on those Grubb shotgun runs.
