This on top of the Marshawn DUI case should make the Hawk fanbase concerned something more than just adderall is going on.

I doubt they are related.

However 3 guys getting popped for the same drug in less than a year....

...something is going on there. May not be the organization...just common supplier. Dunno...but 'hawks gotta do something.
I think something is going on but I think it's not really at the player level. It could be higher up. Again, it's just a possibility, not accusing anybody of anything - it's just weird how this is evolving. I'm pretty sure the front office is now on notice and will do their due diligence. The seattle season is at stake.

Seriously dude. You seem obsessed with some sort of doom and gloom. Hooked on Marshawns DUI case and now this. You appear to be a polite troll.[/quote]

I think you're confused. I've never even mentioned the Lynch case other than to say I hope he plays.

I don't think so. I think he has to leave the team a week before the season starts but don't quote me.

So, he was busted for taking Adderall without a medical exemption. Has anyone even BOTHERED to ask if he has a prescription? Because I certainly haven't read where any single one of you has a single doubt that he was taking something illegally (which ain't the same thing as taking something legally, but still against league rules). Maybe he really DOES have ADHD, but didn't get the exemption from the league office for whatever dumb reason? I certainly haven't heard that he doesn't have a prescription... Damn, what a rush to judgement - you guys should all be carrying pitchforks and torches.

No he can participate in OTA's and training camp then sits out until Indianapolis.

Thank you ma'am, I knew that, just forgot that I did

Does it matter? He didn't have permission from the league. He should have known that especially after Browner got popped.

Personally if it was a Niner I'd rather he was cheating and not just stupid enough to do it accidentally.

I'm just piggy backing on some of the quotes earlier about how this isn't the first suspension and it's more than just one player. I really haven't paid attention to who has been or hasn't been suspended. The DUI case is also another suspension case, just not with the NFL yet. Either way, I'm just pointing out the rash of these incidents and while it may be random chance, it could be also deliberate. Again, I am just speculating based on the posts I read previously on this thread, I have no actual information about anybody higher up violating anything.

Well, he's already said he's not going to appeal. And admitted that he screwed up and has taken the blame for it. I'm assuming if that scenario was the case it would have been part of his explanation.

Personally i'm not going to kill him for it. in fact, I really couldn't care less. Just hope he's ready to kick ass when he comes back.

This is crap!!! I think Pete needs to lay down the law and say next person to fail a drug test this year is off the team. This is getting beyond rediculous now, we are looking like a bunch of cheaters! Edit... I realize this might be harsh and perhaps unrealistic depending on the player but something needs to get through to these guys.

And Russel Wilson becomes the next player to fail a drug test. He is off the team. It is not as simple or straight forward as you suggest.

Adderall is a scapegoat. No player comes out and admits they were taking steroids. As part of the players privacy rights, the league wont disclose what the player tested positive for.

Every player's agent comes out and says it is Adderall that their client tested positive for, regardless of what drug they were actually taking, simply because it doesn't hurt their image as badly.

Meh, whatever. We have Avril and Bennett - Irvin is still a depth guy at this point. Hopefully Clemons can return for the season, however doubtful.

Pete needs to take control of his locker room. It's all fine and dandy that he's laid back...but this is just getting ridiculous. Where's the accountability Pete? Gte your shit together.

On Bruce...WHAT A DUMB ASS. Seriously, the season hasn't even started and he got caught cheating. Cool, you cut your hair and want to start a new chapter of your life story. GREAT START BUD.

I don't see his suspension hurting the team against SF or Houston, there's plenty of depth to make up for him not being out there. Just get to see more of the rookies. Looks like they'll be getting plenty of attention this preseason. I see no need to let Bruce even step foot onto the practice field, he won't be contributing until week 5. May as well get the most out of the youngsters, he messed up...he can sit and watch people try and take his job.

I don't think that is true cause he said in his statement that he isn't going to appeal.

Exactly

We have no idea if adderall is the truth or a lie. People in the know have to keep their mouth shut. The only person who can tell us is Irvin or his agent and we have absolutely no idea if they are telling us the truth. This league source is a crock of chit that the media uses often

Yea, lets not let our freak athlete who we invested a 1st round pick in, who is pretty raw, practice his game to get better. Brilliant!
