This injury actually might make it feasible for us to keep him next season. Had he not had the injury, he would be a hotter commodity to the free agency market.

7 weeks rehab is our first playoff game so hopefully he'll be back for that, assuming HFA and a week one bye.

Carroll says Brandon browner out 4 to 6 weeks with groin pull that includes tissue damage.
Would that mean 4-6 weeks starting today or his injury will take 4-6 from the time he got hurt?
I mean there was nothing said about a time table to recover or the severity about his groin all last week.

Figured we wouldn't get him back until the playoffs. Glad we have ET back there for support and terrific depth at that position.

Worst case scenario...he's back for playoffs. I can live with that.

Get better quick BB

PC didn't sound very confident about it. I think he might be done for the year.

Bummer. He likely won't be back until the playoffs. :(

Let me correct that for you...

Cool! He'll be back in time for the playoffs! :D

I thought we'd be without him until next year! To me, this is great news! We're good enough with Thurmond as the fifth Beatle (LOB), and then D at full strength when it really matters! With depth! YES!

Still no word. Pete just said it was a 4-6 week recovery period **minimum**. One would assume it would be from the time of the injury but the team hasn't stated how they are going to deal with this injury. They could still put him on IR or just let him rest it and go with a 52-man roster. They went for several weeks with Spencer before putting him on IR.

Just glad will have him back at some point, hopefully before the playoffs so he can shake the rust off. I think Thurmond will do just fine in his absence. Go Hawks!!

So if we're lucky and the clock started last week he could be back anytime between San Francisco and Arizona. Either way he should be back for the playoffs worst case scenerio.

it's better timing for him to get injured now and have thurmond cover his position so that he can come back for the playoffs. Also i heard he's doing a signing at the 6th ave t-mobile downtown seattle. on 11/19/13..not sure what time tho.

Hurts the team a bit (depth wise) and it will hurt Browner's value in the offseason. He has missed games with injuries this year and substance abuse violations last year, neither are good for a guy who will be 30 years old to start next season. On the flip side I think this will only push WTlll value up as he has been healthy this year and he's younger (26 now, 27 to start next year) and playing really well. It just shows the talent and depth at some of the positions on this team.

Is BB a free agent after this season?

Yes. So is Thurmond. Baldwin is a RFA. Tate is a FA. Bennett had signed a 1 yr deal. Same with McDaniel. Someone posted a link to sportrac (I think) which shows the various contracts of players on the team. If I find it or you do, post it for others to share.
