After that they have the Bear and Jets which may allow them to dig themselves out of a hole. The problem is that they face the Cheifs two times within a three week span and with the Packers squeezed in between.

Tough sledding for SP to navigate that part of the schedule.

Then the Broncos have a bye week. But by then they might be out of playoff contention if they don't turn it around. And coming out of the bye they face the Bills, Vikings, Browns, Texans, Chargers, Lions, Patriots, Chargers and Raiders.

True..but how many more chances do you give a guy who is clearly done as an NFL caliber qb? They could lose every game.

Because losing too many games before the bye is bad. After the bye they have to face down a gauntlet which is hard to overcome if you are below .500 to start with.

i think he's more skilled than lucky. But his skill was surviving long enough through grit and talent for a defender to make a mistake.

He will always be feast or famine. You need a 50 yard bomb? call him. When he was younger, if you needed a guy to create magic on his own? call him

but to run an offense outside those conditions? look at his overall stats, and then look at hs stats between his last TD and second to last TD.

The Broncos O inability to score TDs in the third quarter haunts them dating back to last season. This game shouldn't be this close if the Broncos shut the door in the third quarter with a TD drive or two to open the second half.
