The Cowboys are desperate for a kicking competition, so next stop Dallas.

Meanwhile, what’s the Broncs plan, to get Brett Maher?

According to Broncos fans, now that Payton is there to unleash the real Dangerruss, there will be no need for a kicker. 100% red zone TD and 2 pointer rate!! Just have the dude with the biggest quads kickoff.

This doesn't make a whole lot of sense. At first I thought it was a salary cap issue, but McManus is only making $3.5 million this year, a million and a half less than Myers. He had a little bit of a down year last year, but he's still a decent kicker.

What are they going to do, sign a 40-year-old Robbie Gould? Or as @SantaClaraHawk said, Brett Maher? They won't save any money because of the dead cap hit. Teams that try to save money in the kicking game usually end up regretting it.

But maybe it's because Maher was the kicker in New Orleans during Payton's last year?

McManus is a guy who has made 81% of his FGs, and he's 31, two years younger than Brett Maher. This kind of dinking around with kickers will only anger the football gods. (Remember what happened to Urban Meyer when he disrespected Josh Lambo.)

That helps our position of Denver's Draft pick, before they got him they spent a few years trying to find someone that could kick in that thin air. Oh and not good news for Me3 who has to come from behind with a new or suspect kicker.
