This will be interesting. Who the hell wants to coach this dumpster fire of a team? Russ is now the coach killer.

I do believe if the Broncos brass and GM sit Russell down and tell him to STFU, they're going to hire who they want to hire and he's going to listen and go along with the program?

Then I could see a coach like Frank Reich come in and salvage some of Wilson's career.

But this is a big IF. If you can't get along with a coach like Pete Carroll who has your best interest at heart and is doing everything he can to help you succeed? Then Idk if even as bad as it's been for Russ this year will get through to him that HE'S the problem and he better start listening to the critics.

Maybe they hire Darrell Bevell? Unless Russ was the one who pushed him out the door. I still think him or Schotty are the best option to turn his career around at this point.

Russ’ best is checking down to avoid sacks. The more daring he is, the more the sacks, the hits, the incompletions, interceptions, concussions mount.

There is very little any coach can do with an undersized quarterback with Very limited skills. Forget about his heroics in Seattle, the fact is he did even Less than what Trace McSorley did On the same day.

They need to either take that first from sf and turn it into Richardson if he’s still there, or bring in a hungry fa as quarterback competition. Minchew, Mullens, McSorley, mariota, Brissett, Winston, the list goes on.

The competition Starts at ota. Russ shows up on time and on weight. His locker is moved right next to the other qbs. His office is repurposed for some other use. He Sits in the team plane in coach right by him, no need for anyone’s entourage, hi knees, or hijinks.

Because from here on out, Russ is just some guy. Quit indulging his fantasies that he is.

I was really hoping - with two games to go - that Hackett would stay in his job and guarantee us a top 3 pick. I thought if they were going to fire him it would've happened much sooner.

I could see them pulling a freak win against the Chargers and scuppering our dreams of Jalen Carter or whoever is on the top of all your lists.

Can someone explain this?

Because Rhule and Reich were both fired this year.

This makes me dislike Russ even more. Sure, Nathanial Hackett may have been in over his head, but with an average QB and that defense, Denver have been a good team this year. Add head coach killer to Me3's resume.

The Chargers are very Jekyll and Hyde this year, but they'll still be playing for the playoffs even if they lose tonight (they won't).

I think the Broncos lose out and at worst it's the #3 pick, and at best the #2 if Chicago can somehow pull off one more win. Which is entirely possible playing the Lions and possibly the Vikings who could have their seed already figured out by week 17 resting dudes.

I think Brass needs to sit down and let Wilson know who runs the "show/team".. Oh and Boot him from his office and ban entourage from team facilities. Force the qtr billion-dollar QB to be a team player or ride the pine.

The problem isn't with the Chargers losing tonight, it's if they win.

If they win, there's a good chance that they'll wrap up a playoff spot next week when they play the Rams, and with no chance at a first round bye or hosting a playoff game, their finale with the Broncos becomes meaningless. They'd likely sit their starters.

We need to root for the Chargers to lose tonight so they have something to play for in Week 18.

The no one Hackett brought to help Hackett with game management is now interim hc

The only thing I fault about the Broncs deal is that we shoulda gotten a 2024 pick

There is no coach who can turn this disaster around, especially not in the next two games, as long as Wilson is the QB. Two things going against Wilson, anything he might have had once, is no longer there, and second, he will never listen to any coach because he is smarter than all of them..

Russ isn’t done yet. They’ll fire an OC or two and trade away a valuable player for another offensive “weapon”.

This train wreck won’t be back in the rails for awhile…

I admire your confidence in the Broncos, as indicated by you actually thinking they can beat the Chargers second string..!
