How can people not root for this kid? Yes he is a niner but what a story
As a football fan I find myself rooting for him to have a terrific year. As a Seahawks fan, I find myself rooting for him... but I hope he has his worst games vs us.

I actually saw him at an event last week. I'm in IT and Zoom hosted an event at a Steakhouse.

He looked good but obviously I didn't see him throw.

My overwhelming thought seeing him? My god he's young. LOL. I mean I've seen a ton of interviews with him but seeing him in person was shocking. I mean...he's like 5 years older than my oldest child.

Going to 1st Training Camp practice tomorrow, but I don't think he'll practice till Thursday.

If he starts week 1, its improbable he makes it to week 12 and 14 against us. In fact, last year there were only three qbs in the league that didn’t require a relief time out.

It doesn't matter if Bosa is out they won't be able to make it to the Bowl.
If Purdy plays the way he did, and they lose Bosa.. they still have the depth to make a deep run and challenge for a SB.

As great as Bosa is, they need Purdy at his 2022 level more than they would need Bosa.

Either way, you making up any more breaking news today?

Lucky for the 49ers that they have a QB not just on a rookie deal, but the cheapest possible rookie contract because Brock Purdy was a 7th-round pick. (Purdy is making $880,000 this year, compared to Trey Lance's $8 million cap hit.)

They'll need that because the Bosa contract is going to be north of $30 million per year. After Bosa signs his deal, the 49ers will no longer be able to have nice things. In 2024, the 49ers will have a $100 million cap hit for 4 players: CMC, Bosa, Deebo and Fred Warner. Lynch better buy himself a new calculator.

I read that Nick Bosa is expected to miss training camp until his contract is hammered out:

Not a great way to start your season, eh? @Weadoption, @Marvin49, @94Smith?

To be fair, you pay to win this season. You can figure out the salary cap for 2024 next off season.

great way to start the season in my book is zero training camp injuries.
But ya, Bosa bout to start making qb money.
Anything less than a super bowl win is failure.

Good for the young man Purdy.
Too bad Shanahan will break him again before the season is over.

Florio thinks it could still be Darnold who wins the qb2 job.

Florio is a moron.

He also thought the 49ers were going after Mac Jones, the 49ers every offseason are going to sign Kirk Cousins, and that Tom Brady will be a 49er.

Dude is an idiot.

Now that doesn't mean that Darnold has no shot at QB2, but Florios opinion on the topic has no merit whatsoever.

On the average, a given team will win 3 superbowls a century. Its much more rewarding to be pleasantly surprised by a Superbowl win (i.e. 1981, 1988 49ers) than the be disappointed by a failure to win one with a potential SB winning roster (i.e. for the 49ers: 1983, 1985, 1987, 1990, 1992, 1993, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2019, 2021, and 2022). I suppose in general one is happier in life by reducing expectation and going with the flow.

It's not revealed that Brock Purdy played against us last year with a broken rib:

ya I hear you.
That 87 playoff against the Vikings still kinda hurts lol. We had the #1 Defense and Offense that year if I recall and we got obliterated by Anthony Carter. That one left a scar.
