Great job of scouting by Carroll and Norton. They were not shy about wanting to add him as a free agent, including visiting him before the draft.

I'll take Brock Coyle. Not only do I think he'll stick, I think he's going to be a starter in the future.

I think I chose Ty Powell last year...

Coyle put C-Mike on his back in a drill last week in camp and I thought it was a complete C-Mike fail. I under estimated Coyle! Seems like Coyle is making a statement. I hope he has a good game tomorrow and turns some heads.

Coyle was a breakout star during the draft process and a highly sought-after UDFA. I think he said like half the teams wanted him. I was ecstatic when we signed him. Major pick-up, and it looks like he's living up to the mystique he built up just weeks before the draft.

I have to wait til tomorrow to watch the game. I am DVRing it at 1AM est. Coyle is one of the reasons I can't wait to see the game.

Looks like he had some great tackles tonight, pretty sure I even saw him get into the backfield on a play. I have no doubt in my mind this guy will make the team.

Coyle was one of the few very bright spots in the game tonight. He was in on a lot of tackles, in the right spot, even if he wasn't credited with the tackle. And he had some good tackles, too. All in all, some really great plays and a lot of hustle. I was probably most impressed with him of any of the players, with the possible exception of Richardson.

He was great he could very well take Heath's spot

Preseason Game #1, sure, but I thought Heath looked like dead game out there. Coyle looked capable at Mike and on ST's. I think Heath may be saying "FarEwell" soon.

He had a very solid game alright, although he was responsible for Juwan Thompson's first long run if I am not misaken! He looked really slow on that play.

He was the one out there that had the energy that reminded me of last season. I christen him BoomRock and think he definitely has a place on the LOB if he keeps that up.

He's got ++ Mind, instincts, and quickness for certain... however, he really lacks strength and endurance. I saw players falling forward on the majority of his tackles..I'll give him credit for getting there, but he doesn't finish anything like Bobby. Later in the game, you could tell he was getting tired...either from all of the running, or hits he was giving/taking. The good news is, you can't teach Mind, instincts, and quickness, but you can get the kid in better strength to be an NFL MLB. I think he's a good prospect. There's almost no doubt in my mind he can take over for Farwell, especially at Farwell's salary, but I'm not sure he'll ever be a #1 MLB> I guess we'll see!

Croyle was solid as an MLB but he made the play of the game as a STer, imo, when the Bronco returner was finding holes and gaining steam, Croyle broke off his man, and made a great tackle.

Farwell, I like the guy but with 10 years of experience, he looked like the rookie UDFA and Croyle looked like veteran at times.

If Croyle can clean up his pass defense, he's going to be a starting material back-up and he'll be in the mix to replace Wright, if he moves on.

Basically, Croyle has made the team if continues to produce at his current level. Not sure if Farwell makes the team if Croyle does.
