Interest thought. I think this needs to be looked at exclusively through the lens of the return game. Leon is a weapon in that area, but a flop as a running back and his pass pro is suspect. I don't think I saw enough in pre-season to make a verdict about our kick/punt returning because it seemed like someone different was always fielding them.

Even with the rotation of returners, special teams looked very strong and not that requires immediate addressing.

p.s. I love Leon

I'm with it, plus we don't have to put Harvin in harms way as much when he comes back, Leon can stay as KR

Nope. I like Ware's upside. If they moved the kickoff's back i'd consider it.

Leon Washington was cut by the Pats. I know we really don't have a spot for him...but I'd love for him to come back.

Washington > Ware!

I'd take some of that action. Leon was solid as a rock here and I will always be a fan! Alas I don't think he fits (Salary wise or other) with the new direction this offense is headed. But Hey I said the same thing about TJack last year so???

We have plenty of guys who can return. Tate, Michael, Turbin, Kearse.... Probably others... I bet earl would be great at it but that's too risky.

I hope so. Man I miss Leon. Though it'd probably be best to stay the course and find a new kick returner already on the team. But Leon is solid and really good.

I love Leon, but the price is just to damn high. Not just money but we would have to cut one of our very talented and young RB's.

I agree. There are many guys cut that are greater than Ware. I'd cut Ware or Coleman and sign Washington in a heartbeat. Move Turbin to FB if needed.

I wish there was a spot for him, but there just isn't. Sure would be fun to watch him return kicks again though.

Really wish it could happen but like its been said we dont have room. And i dont see them releasing Ware who is young and has shown potential.

Plus id love to see Mrob brought back before Leon, even though i love Leon.

Wonder why the Pats cut him? Is he hurt?

Leon's been considered a bubble guy for New England throughout the pre-season. Teams seem to be increasingly hesitant to use scarce roster spots on pure return guys.

For me, we could list him as a receiver and drop Person and I'd be pretty okay with it.
