Aside from Geno, you probably have Howell's development to lose. Putting quarterbacks that you're trying to rehab in when the offense is at its most chaotic is just silly.

Modern NFL offense is about the quarterback.

Everything you do from rostering, balance, scheme, playcalling... it is about putting the quarterback in a spot to succeed, because their success leads to team success.

It would be a failure of coaching to purposely put Sam into a poor situation with lower chances of success than a situation in which he's had prep with the first team in practice and time to rep everything out - preferably a full offseason.

He needs to take some reps with the starters to get him acclimated..it may accomplish several things #1 get him ready and #2 light a fire under Geno
