Holmgren's never been one for the fluff, nonsense and window dressing of the NFL, he's old school.

I can guarantee you they've asked him to raise the flag, and he's obviously said no. There's no reason they wouldn't ask him.

He didn't leave on the best of terms with the franchise and Ruskell, behind the scenes we don't know what really happened, Holmgren is old school as you say, he may have a bee in his bonnet still or the franchise might, I can't remember him doing anything really for the franchise since he left other then his radio and TV stuff that comes up, not even sure that the Seahawks are directly involved with that.

Well he still has a home on Mercer Island and is a regular contributor on KJR, so my guess is whatever resentment Holmgren has towards the Hawks is gone..........and certainly to the point where if he wanted to raise the flag, they'd let him.

Other than Pete, dude's the most influential coach in team history. No way they haven't asked. My guess is he's said no, cause he doesn't like or isn't comfortable with being the center of attention for something like that.
